The business was quickly moved to a new facility in Osceola, Iowa, as their first hydraulic auger rig, the crawler-mounted 3000TR, began deliv- eries. Soon, the model 2400SK, designed to be mounted in a pickup or trailer, was added to the product line. In the mid-70s as hydrostatic pumps became available to the market, the model 2800 HS was added to SIMCO ® ’s line. The size and power available to the rig gave added capability in the form of mud rotary drilling. The next development was the model 5000, a rig capable of drilling water wells up to 1000 feet* deep. SIMCO® manufactures drill rigs for

customers all over

the world. These rigs

have a variety of

uses, including water

well, geothermal,

environmental, prob-

ing, and more. At

SIMCO®, their engi-

neers and field rep-

resentatives look at

all aspects of what it

takes to build, sell, and support a top-of-

the-line, dependable drill rig that does

what the customer bought it for.

SIMCO® began development of hy-

draulic drill rigs in 1969. The business was

quickly moved to a new facility in Osceola,

Iowa, as their first hydraulic auger rig, the

crawler-mounted 3000TR, began deliv-

eries. Soon, the model 2400SK, designed

to be mounted in a pickup or trailer, was

added to the product line. In the mid-70s

as hydrostatic pumps became available

to the market, the model 2800 HS was

added to SIMCO®’s line. The size and

power available to the rig gave added

capability in the form of mud rotary drilling.

The next development was the model

5000, a rig capable of drilling water wells

up to 1000 feet* deep.

The first ten years brought growth in

the size of the business and the range of

equipment offered, as well as advances in

available hydraulic components as

SIMCO® engineering continued to push

suppliers for more advances in technol-

ogy. Many of the early SIMCO® models

are still operating to this day.

SIMCO® was originally known as

Southern Iowa Manufacturing, Inc. In

1994, as the SIMCO® name became a

trademark, the company name was

changed to SIMCO® Drilling Equipment,

Inc. Their loyal customer base followed

them in their growth over the years, mak-

ing the company what it is today.

Today, SIMCO® has

a variety of designs

with advanced hy-

draulics available. The

SIMCO® 7000 & 2800

models are offered in

a high-torque geotech-

nical package or with

allowing for exception-

al versatility to the end

user. Each person at

pride in the quality of

their work, knowing that taking care of a
