Similar Magazines

Rolling stone magazine has a lot of things that I like in it such as it has really popular rap and pop stars in it such as the ones on the magazine covers below. However I do not like the colour scheme very much as the red and white looks quite feminine I believe. However I really like the plain white background and the fact that the main image is on a layer over the title as it is such a well known brand that you do not need to see the entire title to know who made it. I also really like the style of title it looks very cool.

Q creates magazines similar to the style of what I would like my final piece to look like, it has a simplistic clean look but it also gets all the necessary information to the reader. I like its clean style and the simple design, I think this is a good magazine to get inspiration from as they feature a lot of stars that I would similarly like to be in my magazine. However the thing I do not like about Q magazine is the colour scheme of red and white as it would not go very well with my genre of rap/pop, I see red as more as a feminine colour and rap is not stereotypically red. For my magazine I would have colours more like black.
