Modified hydrophilic Polyvinylchloride (PVC) membranes exhibit better chemical resistance and elongation strength than PES or PAN membranes. It is well suited for city water applications where abrasive particulates are commonly present in grey water sources. The use of PVC membranes translate into lower maintenance and replacement costs.

M●UF-GWS series is designed to treat grey

water from varying sources where feed turbidity does not exceed 50 NTU to produce crystal clear safe water for both domestic, commercial and industrial applications. The system incorporates proprietary 250mm Æ X 1500mm UF membrane modules filled with Poly-vinyl-chloride (PVC) hollow-fibres. The housing has a thick robust reinforced ribbed body that can withstand up to 1.6MPa burst pressure. The indi-vidual fibre is manufactured to remove suspend-ed particulates, colloidal material, bacteria and high molecular weight material down to 0.01 mi-cron. The M.UF- GWS includes feed and back-flush pumps that auto flush sequentially to retard membrane fouling.
