Wedges are made to push materials apart, or cut things. Scissors are an example of a wedge because the two parts open in and out while it cuts things such as paper. I found this in my room.

Lever

The lever helps lifts heavy weights using longer distances. This bottle opener is an example of the lever because when you put it on the cap and apply force to it by lifting up and away, it can remove the cap. I found this in the kitchen.

Wheel & Axle

The wheel&axle make it easier to move things by rolling them, and reducing friction. This office chair has wheels on it, which makes it easy to move and roll around the room. This chair is in my room.

Wheel & Axle The wheel&axle make it easier to move things by rolling them, and reducing friction. This car has tires on it, which makes the car roll while reducing friction to get you where you want to go. This car is located out on the street near where I live.

Inclined Plane

An inclined plane makes it easier to move objects upward into a longer path and makes it easier in lifting things. These stairs are an example of an inclined plane because as you go up or down, the direction changes, and it’s not straight but it still gets you where you’re going. These stairs are in the building I live in.

Screw

A screw turns rotation into a lengthwise movement by turning through threads. This bottle lid can be described as a screw because you have to rotate it around the threads until it stops and closes shut. This bottle was in the kitchen.

Screw

A screw turns rotation into a lengthwise movement by turning through threads. Screws can be used to hold down anything. This screw was in the wall because a clock had to be hung on it. I found this in the living room.

PulleyA pulley makes lifting heavy weights easier by redirecting force, and this object is used to measure the weight of a bug luggage bag. When you place the hook on the luggage bag handle, the little reader moves up or down depending on the weight of the bag, and I found this at home.

PulleyA pulley makes lifting heavy weights easier by redirecting force, and this window blind is an example because when I pull on the string, the blind goes up or down. This blind is located in my room.

Compound MachineLever: When you push down on the lever, it staples the paper with force.Wedge: The staples are wedges because when they push down, it sends out a sharp staple that pierces the paper.

I found this stapler at home in my room

Compound MachineWheel&Axle: The handles rotate and grind on the gears and wedges to open the canGears: The gears work with the wheel, axle, and the wedge to grind the can openWedge: The wedges slice open the can by cutting through the metal top Lever: The two arms form two levers that open and close on the one fulcrum that grips the can

I found this in the kitchen at home
