Easy operation

For example you can simply insert a SIM card of your choice into the transmitter and set individual send and alarm parameters using the configuration software or app. So you can get started right away, we can also supply the devices preconfigured and with a SIM card.

Fill level measurement is carried out without contact via a hall effect sensor and is suitable for all commercial liquid gas tanks and floats. They simply replace the contents indicator (dial) installed on the tank with the RCT signalling device. Then all you have to do is connect the transmitter unit to the battery and the device immediately sends a message with the current fill level to the entered telephone number. Depending on the configuration, the data is now cyclically, for example, once a day, when limits are reached or alarms are sent to the RCT web server.

Safe energy management

Via your secure access to the RCS Web application or via a smartphone app, you can retrieve, manage and analyse all tank levels at any time, regardless of location. Status messages and alarms can be specifically forwarded as a notification. With the RCT technology, you have control over the fill levels of your oil and fuel tanks, any time and anywhere – online and mobile on your PC or smartphone. The fill levels can be automatically collected, consumption analysed, requirements determined, fill times and routes scheduled, and much more - ideal for energy providers, filling stations, property managers and public institutions.

Measurement is carried out precisely by means of a hydrostatic pressure probe and is suitable for all commercial tank shapes. Prerequisite is a suitable free tank opening (diameter at least 1“). The probe is inserted into the tank down to the lowest point and the opening is hermetically sealed by means of screwed connections.

Initial operation via plug & play

As soon as you connect the transmitter unit to the battery, the device sends notifications depending on the version and configuration via GSM, GPRS, 4G or NBIoT to your own or the RCT web server and then also directly to your smartphone. Numerous transmission and alarm parameters can be individually adjusted. Upon request, we deliver your devices already pre-configured and including a SIM card.

In combination with the RCT Datalogger, you can record and send the measured data simultaneously from up to 16 radio transmitters within a radius of 1,500 m (free field).

Precise measurement technology

Remote monitoring with five senses

The MULTIview recognises via a motion sensor, for example, when someone enters the room and reports this as a „silent alarm“ to your mobile phone. In this way, it can be used as a burglar alarm. On the other hand, it also monitors the temperature and humidity in the room and reports when certain value thresholds have been crossed. You can also connect and monitor technical systems with two freely usable alarm contacts (potential-free switch con-tacts). How the data transfer works

Status messages and alerts are transmitted by SMS via the mobile network. It is important that the network of the SIM card provider is strong enough at the location you want to use it. You can also receive the notifications without an app directly as a plain text SMS on your mobile phone. If you would like to manage the data and notifications with the smartphone app, the data will be sent encrypted to our web server and retrieved by the app. For a quick start, the device comes with a preconfigured SIM card, which you can simply unlock for a certain period via the app or by phone at RCT for a prepaid fee.

The data management solutions from RCT consist of different modules. This allows notifications from various devices to be received via text (SMS), mobile app (GPRS) or NBIoT. The transmission from the transmitter units to the server is encrypted via Deutsche Telekom’s IP Sec tunnel, via GPRS encrypted by IMSI and SID or via NBIoT via IP VPN. RCT also provides programming interfaces (APIs) for data collection, organises equipment, user accounts, configures data solutions, and much more. Data and alarm notifica-tions can be forwarded by push message or email. Data monitoring takes place via mobile app and web app via a web server at Amazon Web Services in the Frankfurt area.

The software solutions and apps from RCT make your PC or smartphone into a monitoring center. The simple and intuitive programs offer a variety of processing and evaluation functions for simple to complex data management. The information trans-mitted by the RCT transmission units via SMS or GPRS can be conveniently managed, evaluated and forwarded to the recipient(s) of your choice. You decide where the reports are documented and who has access to the data. You can choose between receiving all data directly on your PC, i.e. absolute data sovereignty, or a web-based data manage-ment (RCT server) with access from any PC via the Internet.


Safety and warranty

Requirements during installation

The installation of the RCT transmitter units in the private sector requires neither special technical know-how nor authorisations. In the commercial sector, the assembly permit varies from case to case. The respective requirements for the installer’s qualifications and certification should already be clarified during planning or accepting the order.

Since the RCT transmission units have the function of an additional device that does not intervene in safety or system technology, there are no special requirements for the installer. The installation and operating instructions supplied with each RCT unit must be strictly observed. The operating instructions contain a declaration of conformity for the products. If, in addition, the respective test certificates are required, these can be downloaded from the RCT website (www.rct-monitor.com). Installations which are carried out differently to the directions in the installation instructions are excluded from the manufacturer‘s product liability. No responsibility can be accepted for any resulting consequential damages and costs from such in-stallations.

If you should however have a complaint about a delivered product, please contact your dealer or RCT as manufacturer directly. Legitimate complaints are remedied as quickly as possible. In accordance with the provisions of German law, we fulfil all warranty claims. In this context too, customer satisfaction is our goal. To this end, RCT offers business customers almost 24/7 online support via telephone or e-mail.

Product training and assembly training

RCT offers individual product training and assembly training for every customer requirement. There, questions about products used are answered thoroughly by experts. Also part of the training is to give the participants an overview of all RCT products. An understanding of the RCT modular system helps to combine devices and components correctly. Training can take place both at RCT headquarters in Bad Endbach, Germany, at the customer’s headquarters or at the site of the RCT devices.

All participants of the training sessions will also receive the content in written form to refer to later. In addition, tutorial videos are planned, which will be made available online. The trainer also serves as a personal contact at RCT for each participant. They are available for individual questions about such things as the handling of devices and tips for safe use.

Service

Maintenance, testing and software updates

RCT transmitters are maintenance-free except for battery replacement. For recurring tests, a visual inspection should be sufficient. The battery can be changed without removing the transmitter from the tank. To do this, pull the battery pack out of the transmitter. The replacement battery should be connected to the transmitter at the earliest after 30 seconds.

If SIM card replacement, firmware updates or con-figuration changes are planned, you should work on the device outside the explosion zone. As a rule, a mobile PC (laptop, tablet) with corresponding connection cables and software is required for this. The latter are available from RCT. It is recommended to do this work only after attending RCT training. The old battery can be disposed of at a battery return point.

Firmware and device configurations

All RCT transmission units are factory-equipped with suitable firmware for the respective applica-tion. Devices from the PRO Line can also be adapted to changes in requirements on site. For example, sensors can be replaced or SIM cards replaced. In addition, changes can be made, for example, to the transmission. These changes are usually accompanied by firmware updates. Both firmware and device configurations can be changed on a PC, laptop, etc. If extensive changes are necessary, it is recommended that you send the device to the RCT service.
