    already. Our house

    is one of twenty-one

in our neighbor-hood, and we have

    already begun rela-

    tionships with sev-

    eral of the people

    living here. Things

    do take longer here,

    but we feel like we

    have accomplished

    a great deal in these

    first few months. We are

so grateful that we havebeen given the opportunity

to have a little time to get

    settled before we begin the

    rigors of language school.

    After arriving

    safely in Mex-

    ico, our first

    few weeks

    here in Cuer-navaca were

    spent finding

    a house to

    rent and fill-

    ing it with

    essential

    items for our

    family. We

    were so

    blessed to have my parents

and Kristinas mother herewith us for the first week.

    They helped us tremen-

    dously with the children

    during that very stressful

    time. While there are still

several household items welack, we already feel like

    this has become our home.

    We have enjoyed having

    people over for dinner,

    Driving in

    Cuernavaca

    was definitely

    intimidating

    at first, but

    Kristina and I

    have actually

    been doing

    very well. We

    both feel very

    comfortable

    navigating our way traveling through

    town and weve even

    acquainted ourselves

    with several of the

    markets and cities in

    and around Cuer-

    navaca. We feel very

    safe here and have

    thoroughly enjoyed

    exploring our new

    surroundings to-

    gether.

    Moving Forward

    Gearing Up

    Helping OutTwo

    weeks ago,

    groups

    from Sny-

    der, TX

    and Wich-

    ita Falls,

    TX arrived

    in Cuer-

    navaca for

    a short-

    term mis-

    sion trip. They were only

    here for about a week,

but they were able to ac-

    complish much in that

    short time. They pre-

    pared and hosted a Car-

    nival for children and

    their families, visited and

    encouraged the children

    at a local orphanage,

    walked through several

    neighborhoods praying,

    talking to people, and

    passing out fliers for the

    church events. Our fam-

ily was blessed to be able

    to help receive them from

    the airport, prepare food

    for them, escort them

    around town, sing with

    them in the city center,

    and accompany them to

    the orphanage. We feel

    so fortunate to be learn-

    ing so much from the

    current Cuernavaca team

    that was hosting them.

that it is going to be a very

good fit for the both of

    them. Kristina and I will

    also begin language school

on the same day. We will

    be studying Spanish at the

    Instituto Chac-Mool. We

are both very ready to begin

    learning Spanish at a much

    more intensive level,

    though we continue to hear

how much of a trial it will

    August 23rd is

    going to be a very

    big day for our

    family. Noah

    and Juliana will

    start classes for

    the first time at

    Colegio Cuer-

    navaca. We are

    very pleased by what we

    have seen about their

school so far and we think

    be personally, for our fam-

ily, and for our team. I

think we all realize what an

    important step this is for

the future of our work here

    in Mexico. Please continue

to pray for us and to en-

    courage us in the coming

    months as we dedicate our-

selves to the task of learn-

    ing Spanish.

    Lourdes who weve all

    grown to love. She re-

    cently made the decision

to give her life to Christ

    and to be immersed for

    the forgiveness of her

    sins! We were fortunate

to be able to host the

    baptism at our house and

    Noah even prepared the

    baptistery by rolling back

    the pool cover by him-

    self! Our team has a

    good relationship and

    plays basketball regularly

    with Lourdes youngest

    daughter Corina as well.

    Please pray for Lourdes,

    Corina, and their family

    as they continue to learn

    more about Gods will for

    their lives. And please

    pray that the relation-

    ships that our teammates

    and we are beginning

    with our friends and

    neighbors will continue

    to bear fruit for Christ.

    Our team

    has also

    been busy

    reaching out

    to those

    around us

    and sharing

    why we have

    made the

    decision to

    move to

    Mexico. Pat-
