A SMP meeting was held 05 March at 53 Area SMP Recreation Center. Sgt Hosch called the meeting to order at 0900. List of those in attendance is provided on the sign in sheet (attachment 1). 2. Mrs. Danielle West - SMP Coordinator – Last month’s minutes can be found at www.mccscp.com under the recreation / SMP tab. 3. SgtMaj Hackett – SgtMaj MCIWest-MCB CamPen 43 Area Potholes are in the process of being filled in, but there is no plan for pavement. Self-Help has asphalt that can be utilized, but it must be done correctly. The issue was brought up at a command meeting. Budget cuts will restrict what repairs need to be prioritized. Take care of what we have so longevity can be optimized. Stay positive, and help get the word out. 4. Sgt Hosch - opened the floor for old or new issues Chow Halls have consistent issues with food, ranging from not being cooked thoroughly to produce not being washed. Water streaming from taps is milky white even after allowing to run - May be due to aeration of water, 43 Area. External boiler outside of Pulgas barracks, inquiries as to if this is a temporary or permanent fix. 9 th Communications BN- Vehicle storage in parking lots is crowding parking areas – Document and report to PMO. 15 cars were towed from the lot last week. Bigger parking closer to barracks requested for Pulgas Area, or policing which barracks can park in certain lots, as Marines are needing to walk to get to their barracks – This is an area Command issue; Marines should be parking at their own barracks. Pulgas area dumpsters overfilled – Police your Marines, as waste management will not pick up if waste is not disposed of properly. Barracks managers can request additional pick-ups as needed. 5. Mr. Michael Rumbaua, Bachelor Housing Manager – Barracks occupancy is around 76%, with Horno the highest. Occupancy rates are tracked by BEQ manager’s once new Marines check in and are put into the database. If managers are not putting new occupants into the database, the occupancy rate will not be accurate. Bachelor housing can move overflow bachelors to other areas as needed—currently space at 22 Area for anyone requesting to be moved. BAH can be given out to Sergeants once occupancy reaches 95% and to Corporals at 98%. Subj: SMP Monthly Meeting Minutes

1. A SMP meeting was held 05 March at 53 Area SMP Recreation Center. Sgt

Hosch called the meeting to order at 0900. List of those in attendance is

provided on the sign in sheet (attachment 1).

2. Mrs. Danielle West - SMP Coordinator – Last month’s minutes can be

found at www.mccscp.com under the recreation / SMP tab.

3. SgtMaj Hackett – SgtMaj MCIWest-MCB CamPen

43 Area Potholes are in the process of being filled in, but there is

no plan for pavement. Self-Help has asphalt that can be utilized, but

Introduced the “Lucky Duck Dash” for March participation and giveaway

opportunities.
