Free from Local Authority control with the same freedoms as traditional academies.

Marine Academy Plymouth and Shining Stars Nursery already have an excellent reputation throughout the North West locality and the city.

St. Budeaux is in the national top three percent of areas with high social deprivation.

The residents of St. Budeaux have poor health and the fourth lowest life expectancy in the city.

St. Budeaux has the fifth highest crime rate in Plymouth. The number of Reception places in Plymouth primary schools needs to significantly increase, especially in the North West locality.
