Welcome to The Barnleys Guest House and Sirikwa Safaris!
Tim Barnley began Sirikwa Safaris with a love of birds and his dream to make Western Kenya a sought after ornithological treasure for the sighting of over 350 species of birds. The culture of old Africa exists still in the nature and land of this area. Listening to the stories of the lives of Jane and Richard brings one close to the history of this remarkable place. The Barnleys home is a Kenyan farmstead nestled within well established English gardens on 5 acres of forested land in Northwestern Kenya, on the rim of West Pokot. The farmhouse has two double guest rooms with fireplaces for cool Kenyan evenings.
Sheltered and furnished tents and a large campsite with all amenities including a thatched Rondavel, barbecues, electricity, hot showers, flush toilets, etc. are also available at the Guest House.
Location
Sirikwa Safaris is located near Saiwa Swamp National Park, under the
Cherangani Hills, near Kitale and Mt. Elgon National Park. It is also en route to Turkwell Dam, Lodwar and western Lake
