Something In Between...
SISTA LOVE is about two girls on a never- ending journey, currently based
in vibrant Berlin. Sharing a vibe, we enjoy the freedom to change directions .
We love to travel. We love to create. We like to just give things a go.
Always on the move, we explore the most beautiful places around the world.
Influenced by our travels as well as by urban city life, SISTA LOVE is an eco-conscious, surf-inspired streetlabel.
Traditional indonesian handcraft features sustainable fabrics, creating pieces which unite urban streetstyle and the hippie-influenced enchantment of traveling.
SISTA LOVE is sustainability without passing on innovative design, produced in a small family-run manufactory in Bali, where we have met every single tailor in person!
SISTA LOVE is for girls like us. In love with life.

BEYOND THE FABRIC
The striking batik featured in SISTA LOVE designs is one of Indonesia’s highly developed art forms and one of its most valued traditional handcrafts .No country has established batik to its uppermost artistic expression as the advanced intricate batik found on the islands of Indonesia which has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 2009.
As we like to challenge the industry standards, learn and teach knowledge in an meaningful exchange, the implication is our collaboration with the Clean Batik Initiative (CBI), a program implemented by the German-Indonesian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (EKONID), the German-Malaysian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (MGCC), and the IHK-Academy Munich, co-financed by the European Commission under the SWITCH-Asia grant.
The CBI program aims to ’green’ both the supply and the demand side of batik products to ensure that the environmental impacts
are thoroughly taken into account. Eventually, the program intends to develop so as to a virtuous a push-pull cycle of responsible production
and informed consumption that paves way for the sustainable development of the batik industry.
It consists of three components:
Sustainable Production concerns the supply side, focusing on the economic, social and environmental impacts of batik production.
Sustainable Consumption addresses the demand side, focusing on consumers’ behavior and choices in purchasing batik products.
Policy Dialogue aims to intervene at policy framework-level to complement concrete interventions in businesses and consumer networks and organizations.
