villiers, France. Galleries developed around an extended part of the canal. Firstly, where to locate the project within the site following an urban analy-sis focused on the current empty spaces. Next, the development of the project through the use of four principal axes : the environment, dimensions and usages, construction and atmosphere. The choice of working through two separate geometries; one vertical for structure, the hyperbole, and one hori-zontal for organisation, the grid.

A theoretical, practical and technical workshop leading to the production of a prospective project on the works of

First exercise undertaken in groups of four leading to the production of an urban form which would allow the di-vision of the site into four equal parts,

each part consisting of 60 housing units. The cre-ation of structural grid generating two planes; one vertical and the other horizontal. The qualification and specification of the program, putting into place semi-exterior spaces and differentiating two distinct uses within the structure of the tower block and the ground layer.

In depth research throughout the aca-demic year concerning the island of Sicily; its urbanisation, landscapes, topography, climate, materials etc.

through the production of seven projects of different scale.
