Chaica’s Club ActivitiesKick The CanOne player is chosen as "seeker” who stands about 10 paces away from the can, while others scatter across the playing field and try to sneak up and kick the can before the seeker calls out their names. If the seeker spots a player moving toward the can, the seeker calls out the name and counts out loud to three. Players caught by the seeker go to jail. If a player successfully kicks the can first, all players in jail are freed and a new seeker begins!

Marco PoloLearn this popular keep-away game in our pool, or show us your skills. Someone is “it” and closes his or her eyes while calling out to the rest of the children in the pool in an attempt to catch them.

Henna TattooThe art of applying Henna on the skin, this temporary application will last only a day or two. Henna is a celebrated tradition in Arabia, and you can have any design you like!

Mini SnorkellingHere’s a great chance to learn how to snorkel in the comfort of our Main Pool. Feel the flippers on your feet and the funny mask on your face while breathing just below the surface. Already know how? Well then come and join the fun!

Mix and Match Juice FunFresh juices are a great way to drink your daily requirement of fruits and vegetables. Make your own combination to discover a tasty treat.

Salt Dough ArtWe’ve made our own play dough out of salt, water, and flour. Now you get to shape, mould, and play with your very own.

Sand NameYou may end up bringing some sand home in your suitcase, but here’s a fun memory you can create with our very own Zighy Bay sand. You’ll be able to write your name on paper with our sand and decorate with more colours.

Treasure HuntDo you want to play Detective? Search the clues hidden around and find prizes. Some of them may be easy, but some may also put your brain to the test with puzzles. Either way, you’ll discover treasure!

We like to give them organic scraps to ensure their health and safety, and as part of our environmentally conscious efforts to reduce waste. Come along and get a little closer to the wildlife.

Hajar Rock PaintingTake a piece of Oman home with you by painting your own design on a rock from our Hajar Mountains. We’ve got all sorts of non-toxic paints and colours for you to create beautiful designs.

Hand Line Fishing in the MarinaWe try our hand at one of Oman’s oldest traditions, as we bait and send out a fishing line to see if we can catch a big fish! Why big? Because we can only catch adult fish so that we leave enough in the ocean.

Al Feetean's Teenage Club Activities

With easy access to the beach, volleyball, pétanque, tennis courts and Jungle Gym, our teenage club, al Feetean's Club is a great place to make new friends and get away from the family. Al Feetean's Club is open to guests aged 13 – 18 years. Unless noted, all activities meet at the club. Hours of operation are 10:00 – 18:00.

ArcheryThe sport, art, and skill of shooting with a bow and arrow at a target. Historically archery has been used for hunting and combat. Become an Archer or Bowman today! Group and private lessons are available.

Beach CampfireGrab some evening time with friends sharing laughs and stories while you relax on the beach. Does anyone have any ghost tales?

Body BoardingBody board your way into shore with a guide late afternoon when it’s high tide and the beach has breaking waves.

Eco-friendly Nature Walk and Feed the Zighy GoatsLearn more about saving the environment. Get a chance to visit our reverse osmosis water plant, and see how we mineralize our water. We also need to feed our Zighy goats to keep them healthy with a daily dose of vegetables.

Hike Smuggler’s Bay MountainA guide will show you across the mountains over-looking beautiful Zighy Bay on one side and Smugglers Bay on the other. Trek through ruins and some basic climbing to the very top! This guided experience is charged at twenty OMR per teenager.

Introduction to Abseiling/RappellingVertical free-fall descend from the top of the wine tower to the bottom safely with a rope in a harness. A highly trained Guide will give you a safety briefing on abseiling techniques and send you down an adrenaline experience. Take it to the next level and learn the basics of the equipment connections, disconnections, belay, commands, knots and safety techniques all under assistance and support of you highly trained Outdoor Adventure Guides. This experience is charged at ten OMR per teenager.

Iron Man ChallengeThe mission is to complete the beach obstacle course against time and other competitors. Build up your stamina and be an Iron Man today!

KayakNever paddled before? No sweat! Just join the adventure and glide on top of the water.

Meet & Greet Cookies & SmoothiesParents and teens are invited to meet your Outdoor Guides and get to know what water, land and air activities are planned for your teens while enjoying some smoothies and cookies at al Feetean’s Club!

Mini Bikes Tricks & RaceLearn some tricks like bunny hopping, mini wheelie and power slide on your mini bike with a bike expert! Show off your tricks and finish off with a race from the Shua Shack to al Feetean’sClub.

Mountain Bike TourTake a ride on our mountain bikes around Zighy Bay. We’ll guide you around twists and turns and give you tips on safe biking practice (and perhaps a few stellar techniques to boot!)

Pool MadnessWater polo, Marco polo, pool games & swimming races. As mad as you want it to be...it will be!

Raft Building and RaceCan you build a raft that will stay afloat? Give it a shot with your team and then race against the others! This activity meets at the Shua Shack.

Slack LiningWalk on our slack line, learning balancing skills that will help you with other activities like surfing or skiing.

Snorkelling This two-hour underwater exploration begins with a speed boat ride to neighbouring bays. Never used a mask and snorkel? We will show you how as guides point out secret spots and beautiful marine life. With reservation necessary, this activity is charged at thirty-eight OMR per person and leaves from the Experiences Centre.

Speed-ballSpeed-ball is a racket sport played solo, singles or double matches. The tennis ball is attached to a nylon string and pole. The players hit the ball back and forth and invert the rotation in an attempt to beat the other.

Treasure Hunt AdventureIn a team effort find the hidden clues in an adventurous way by biking, kayaking and hiking. The first clue will lead you to next, and so on, to the final treasure. Clues are hidden throughout the resort.

Water Skiing, Wake Boarding and TubingA classic water sport, take this opportunity to hone your skills or learn new ones! This activity is charged at twenty OMR per person.

Boot Camp Training with Daniel SerpaOn our outdoor gym - an invigorating workout that will include cardiovascular activity, strengthening, toning, developing your core strength and balance. This activity meets at the Jungle Gym.

Colour Therapy Workshop with Katrina ValenteWe live our life in colour; we decorate our homes with colour, we dress in our favourite colours, we choose our cars of a certain colour, and the list goes on…but there is a hidden energy of colour in each of us that goes much deeper. Katrina Valente helps her clients harness and benefit from the energy during this workshop.

Facial WorkshopLearn how to make your own hydrating facial treatment with ingredients grown throughout the resort. Not only are they great for your skin, they happen to smell and taste fantastic as well! This activity is offered at the Spa.

Hand Massage WorkshopLearn different massage techniques to relax yourself, your friends, or your special someone. We can even teach your little ones to massage you! Try your hands at Balinese, Thai or Shiatsu, to name a few. This activity is offered at the Spa.

MeditationA calming exercise for the mind to release stress and ascend, allowing a higher connection with your body and soul. This activity is offered with resident practitioner Pat Harvey at the open-air Spa Pavilion.

PétanqueThis activity uses a form of boules where the goal is, while standing inside a starting circle with both feet on the ground, to throw hollow metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball, called a cochonnet. Our Pétanque Court is located adjacent to the Beach Volleyball Court, in front of al Feetean’s Club, our Teenage Club.

StretchingStart your day off with an unparalleled view over Zighy Bay as our resident Fitness Instructor Daniel leads you through full body stretching. This activity is offered on our Main Beach, straight down from the Main Pool.

Yoga with Pat HarveyA flow of Yoga asanas (postures) - using precise alignment and postural control to help develop muscular strength, core stability, balance, flexibility and an awareness of your breathing. Hatha Yoga pushes your mind to withdraw from external objects; techniques differ in each class. Enjoy this class at our open-air Spa Pavilion.

Arabic Cooking ClassExplore the intricacies of Arabic cooking with our master chef. This two-hour session takes you on a tour of the Organic Garden where you will pick your ingredients before learning and practicing details of the wholesome nature that is prevalent in Arabic cooking. You and your colleagues will take away recipes, memories, and a full stomach. This activity is chargeable at forty-two OMR per person is offered in Spice Market.

ArcheryBring out your innate hunter. Group and private lessons are available. This activity is charged at ten OMR per adult and meets at al Feetan’s Club.

Cinema ParadisoOur take on the classic drive-in theatre, we show Six Senses favourites on the big screen and personal stereo surround sound wireless headphones. Relax under the stars, sprawled on loungers with usher service and unique popcorn flavours. This activity is offered with our compliments on the Main Beach. Limited headphones are available.

Hand Line FishingA traditional experience, this excursion will show you how to catch your own dinner! Bring home a treat for the family and let the Chefs cook it up! As part of our environmental commitment, we do not catch hammour, and all fish must be of sustainable size. This activity requires reservation, is charged at forty OMR per person, and leaves from the Experiences Centre.

High TeaTake an afternoon break from the sea and sand. Enjoy scones, canapés, and finger sandwiches as you sample some of our luxury tea selection. This activity is offered in Zighy Bar.

Hike Zighy BayHiking in Oman is a key draw for many visitors. We have hikes of all abilities that take you to the tip of Zighy Bay’s surrounding Hajar Mountains. This guided excursion is charged at forty OMR per person, and leaves from the Experiences Centre.

No Rush HourSix Senses’ approach to “Happy Hour”. Our Bartenders take it easy, charging you every other of our daily-themed cocktails. This activity is offered nightly in Zighy Bar in conjunction with the tapas menu and is chargeable.

Organic Garden TourDid you know that we have a 2,500 square metre organic garden growing in the heart of our resort? This tour meets at Sablah.

Organic Herbal MixologyMany ingredients used in our drinks come straight from our Organic Garden. Sample fresh ingredients and make your own refresher. This activity is offered in Zighy Bar and is without alcohol.

Offering course-by-course à la carte, Chef de Cuisine James Knight Pacheco will delight you with new world twists on classic tastes. Add degustation to any evening for decadent enhancement. Christmas Eve Cocktail ReceptionJoin the management with your friends and family in our Organic Garden. Take in a breath of fresh air and share a cocktail or mocktail to begin your festive evening. Canapés and choice selections from our cellar, local signatures, and herbal mixes are available, including a recipe hunt for teens and children to mix their own!

Omani Christmas Eve CelebrationWhen your belly rumbles, follow the lit pathway to the ShuaShack, festively set against the beach, gently-crashing waves and the ambient Saltwater Pool. Engage with local flair; entertainment throughout your dinner includes regional music while you dine on International and Arabic delicacies at the lavish Christmas Eve Buffet, including live-action stations with bespoke specialties from the region, such as fresh seafood from the MusandamPeninsula.

Don’t forget to fall asleep before midnight to ensure Santa pays you a visit!

A Very Merry Omani Christmas

Tabouleh, hummus, babaganoush; it all sounds Arabic to you? If so, then this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a classic Bedouin dining experience. Your family-style evening begins with a selection of local and organic salads, followed by the main course of lamb prepared in our underground oven (known as a “shua”). Be sure to leave space for the Arabic sweets and side dishes! Shua Shack is offered each Monday and Thursday at 18:30 with prior reservation.

Friday, 27th December

Hanne and Jens Eriksen are based, and have lived, in Muscat for 22 years as well as five years previously in Abu Dhabi. They came to Oman in 1986 from their native Denmark for Jens to take up a position as Professor of Chemistry at the newly opened Sultan Qaboos University. Since then, the Eriksens have traveled extensively in Arabia, the Middle East and all seven continents to study and photograph birds. They are authors or co-authors of 10 books on birds, including Birdwatching Guide to Oman and Common Birds in Oman, have won several photo competitions and have had more than 10,000 of their pictures published worldwide, including pictures on bank notes, coins and stamps of Oman.

Recently they consulted on the acclaimed documentary series BBC’s Wild Arabia throughout much of Oman’s filming. Join them for a special screening on Friday, 27th at the Main Beach of the second installment in the documentary: The Jewel of Arabia.

Based in the marina at Zighy Bay, the centre offers theexpertise of vastly experienced international divers who conduct SSI and PADI courses – privately or in groups – in English, French, and German. Equipment is state-of-the-art with a small fleet of powerful boats, including 2 Royal Craft 35 that can accommodate up to 6 divers or 8 snorkellers. Local knowledge is, of course, all important, and ours is second to none. Enroll in one of the SSI specialty courses, and give yourself the gift of safe diving this holiday season!

Scuba Diver Certification – Scuba Diver is the perfect course for those who do not have time to complete an entire Open Water Diver Program. You will be trained in the proper skills, knowledge, equipment and experience required to feel safe and confident during your open water dives. Certified Scuba Divers are entitled to go diving under the direct supervision of a Dive Leader up to a maximum depth of 12metres.

This course is offered at 220 OMR per person, including course material, equipment rental and certification.

Perfect Buoyancy Specialty – Improving your buoyancy control skills is highly recommended. Every diver who wants to improve diving skills and at the same time wants to perform active environmental protection should take a this course.

This course is offered at 135 OMR per certified diver, including theory, practical assessment over two open-water dives, equipment rental, and credentials.

Enriched Air Nitrox (EAN) Specialty – Have you ever dreamed of having longer no-decompression limits to take pictures or explore a wreck? Did you ever want to be safer while diving concerning the potential risk of decompression sickness? Nitrox is the key. Due to the reduced fraction of nitrogen in your breathing gas, your body will have less work and the de-saturation times will be reduced.

This course is offered at 160 OMR per certified diver, including course material, theory, two open-water dives, equipment rental, and credentials.
