The most important question to ask yourself when choosing a sixth form…

Page 2: Sixth Form Prospectus 3.2

“Will I fit in?”

Let’s face it – it doesn’t matter how good an institution’s academic record happens to be. If it’s not the place for you, then you are not going to enjoy it and enjoyment is the key to success.

You already know Rugby High has a great record. Our students produce some of the best A-level results in the country. They must be enjoying themselves: but could it be right for you?

Successful girls are independent and hard working. They are open minded and prepared to consider things outside of their normal experiences. They perform better than average in their GCSEs and they are able to learn at a quick pace.

At RHS the atmosphere is inclusive and friendly. Staff and students respect each other. If this is attractive to you, it makes you a serious candidate for doing your A-levels with Rugby High.

What is Rugby High really like?

We are a girls’ school which means that everything that the school can provide is available to you. You could find yourself playing ‘Macbeth’ or surrounded by other girls in Computing or Physics classes. You can wear pink with pride and when you are waxing lyrical about the latest episode of ‘the Great British Bake Off’ everyone will know what you are talking about.

By the time they reach Sixth Form, the girls who’ve been at the school since year 7 have spent five years in a learning environment where everyone is encouraged to be themselves, support each other and be the best they can be – academically and socially.

These girls are intelligent, strong-minded and comfortable within themselves. They haven’t got the sort of insecurities that would make them unwelcoming to new people. Quite the opposite.

Whatever you want to do in life, two years with Rugby High will help you develop assertiveness, leadership skills and the broad horizons of a wide-ranging worldview. It will help you to find your voice as a happy, healthy and resilient young woman prepared for whatever the world might bring and ready to make a difference.

We’ll help you make sure you fulfil your potential. It’ll be hard work – but it will also be a lot of fun.
