1. In line with the conduct of 2018 Mefiobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge (2018 MMC)in partnership with the Meffobank Foundation, Inc. and the Mathematics Teachers Association ofthe Philippines O4TAP), the Department of Education, Schools Division of Palawan continues tosupport this biggest and widely anticipated mathematics competition among elementary and juniorhigh school students in the country"

2. The Schools Division Elimination is scheduled on January 11, 2018 for Elementarylevel and January 12, 2[17 for Junior High School level to be conducted at the designated

elementary and secondary testing centers.

3. Enclosed in this memorandum are the: 2018 MMC Forms 2 for both elementary and

secondary with the number of participating schools/participants and testing centers, letter fromMetrobank Foundation to the Regional Director and MMC Document No. l.

4. Please make sure that all contestants and coaches that will be sent by every participatingschools during this level of competition are those indicated in the submiued 2018 MMC Forms Isigned by the school heads.

5. For elementary level, 2018 MMC Forms I shall be submitted to the Disfrict Mathematics

Coordinators while that of the Junior High School level please submit directly to the DivisionOffice on or before January 3,2018. These will serve as means of verification of the contestants

during the Schools Division Elimination.

6. All testing centers shall prepare a short opening program at exactly 8:00 in the morning to

be spearheaded by the Public Schools District Supervisor/District lvfathematics

Coordinator/School Head of the host school.

7 . Contestproper should start at exactly 9:00 in the morning immediately after the orientation

of the Contest Mechanics.

8. Alt results of the contest shall be submitted to the Division Office c/o DivisionMathematics Supervisors right after the competition.

9. Travelling expenses of the participants and othEr incidental expeffies in relation to this

activity shall be charged to School/Distict MTAP Fund local funds or other sources while the

travelling expenses of the monitors from the Schools Division Office shall be charged to DivisionMOOE subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

10. Immediate and wide dissemination of flre content of this memorandum is desired.
