Amount of people that play sports

Sport Number of people in US

Skateboarding 12 Million

Baseball 22 Million

Soccer 18 Million

Football 3 Million

As you can see Skateboarding has become one of the new hottest sports. Four times more kids skateboard than play football. Skateboarding is a huge sport now and deserves to be acknowledged. Though Skateboarding is now

officially a big sport why is it still treated unfairly by society?

Page 8: Skateboarding

Skateboarding Punished? Why?

For the longest time skaters have been trying to earn their way into society but people just

wont let them. Whether it be a sign put up or a security guard kicking you out,

skateboarders have been getting mistreated for years.

Fun Facts

Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen I feel are the two people who are most responsible for

skateboarding. They did not create it but Tony Hawk created so many vert tricks and Rodney

Mullen created everything that is street skating today. Two tricks they are famous for are Tony Hawk the 900 which is 2 and a half

turns and Rodney Mullen the Magic Flip which is now known as the kickflip.
