Tipper trailers from the Schmitz Cargobull plant
in Gotha are welded steel constructions made
of high-quality fine-grain steels. Using state-of-
the-art development processes we achieve an
extremely good weight economy for all six chassis
versions from the lightweight design variant
onward to the heavy duty version. In addition, the
steel frames offer you all of the familiar advan-
tages with regard to loading capacity, reliability,
service life, maintenance requirements and value

Highly efficient for numerous applications with the lightweight steel chassis: S.KI tipper trailer with a 24 m³ body and less than 5 t empty weight.
The heavy duty chassis is available for the project business as a custom-built production for vehicles with a payload of up to 50 t.
In practice, the empty weight, torsion resistance,
off-road characteristics and long-term resistance
against the high dynamic loads when loading and
tipping are what count. That is why we optimise
every chassis design in computer simulations
utilising the finite element method (FEM). In addi-
tion, we also employ high-performance materials
and state-of-the-art manufacturing technology.
And last but not least, our chassis are subjected to
hard endurance tests at testing facilities.
You can choose from two robust to versions
based on our weight and payload-optimised SLL
steel chassis in the under 5 t empty weight class.
With the 24 m³ runners steel body or the 24 m³
aluminium box bodies, both tipper trailers are in
the same weight classes vehicles with aluminium
frames. And in terms of repair requirements and
cost efficiency, with the Schmitz Cargobull steel
chassis you have a clear advantage.
Your tipper trailer with the heavy duty chassis is
perfectly equipped for extreme conditions. The
optimised structure with higher profile frame
cross-sections and thicker walls not only provides
solid overloading capabilities but also a torsion
stability which pays off in the form of high tipping
stability and a long service life.
All of the Schmitz Cargobull chassis are avail-
able with two and three axle running gear which
comply with the applicable EU standards. We also
realise special axle spacings for you in accordance
with the national laws or for special requirements.

The RSP role stability program is a standard
series supplement to the EBS electronic
brake system on the ROTOS® suspension:
In critical driving situations the RSP sup-
ports catching the trailer through automati-
cally controlled breaking impulses and thus
reduces the tipping within the constraints of
the driving physics.

The ROTOS® axle units are delivered with a standard lift function for the first and optionally for the second axle. With the lifting axle you not only reduce the roll resistance and fuel consumption on empty runs but also the tyre wear when cornering and manoeuvring. Lifting the first axle also functions as a starting aid. Axle units with two lifting axles are equipped with this additional function as a standard series feature.

Tip alarm: Additional off-road safety
The optional tip alarm warns the driver
if the stability of the vehicle is affected
during tipping: Sensors constantly moni-
tor the lateral angle of the tipper.
The Multi Ride Height (MRH) suspension ensures that the tyres on all of the lowered axles have the best pos-sible contact with the road surface in every driving and loading condition. The tipper trailer can be steplessly lowered when loading and unloading. This effectively dampens vehicle vibrations and thus reduces the long-term wear on the chassis.

Single wheel mudguard made of light, stable plastic reduces the traffic obstructions resulting from spray water and protects the wheels when loading. The mudguards are easy to replace.
The mudguard pieces in front and behind the axle unit are especially useful on construction sites and also provide adequate spray water protection on the road.
Aluminium rims reduce the empty weight and pro-vide a vehicle with an attractive appearance.

On the road the load must be secured against the influence of the wind. The tipper
trailers from Schmitz Cargobull can be equipped with a sliding roof in the body so
that you no longer need to plan in long delays. The solution not only simplifies se-
curing the load - It also optimises air resistance and fuel consumption.
Choose from two versions: Manual operation via crank handle and bevel gear or electrical drive unit with radio or cable remote control.
The bow profiles prevent water from collecting on the tarpaulin and enable the roof to be closed over protruding loads.

The motor for the electrical sliding roof is protected beneath the overhang of the front bulkhead.
The sliding roof retracts to expose the entire length of the body. When opened, the tarpaulin folds up on the front bulkhead canopy.
The folding aluminium ladder makes it easier to check the sliding roof and the load.

The weight-optimised working platform is made of aluminium and mounted on the front bulkhead of the tip-per body. It simplifies operating the rollup tarpaulin and provides a high level of safety.
On the left-hand side of the body the rollup tarpaulin is folded over the upper lip, attached and secured via the eyes.
Practical, low-weight and easy to operate - The
winding aid helps to unroll and roll up the tarpaulin
across the tipper body. Where required, roof bows
can be utilised to prevent water from collecting
on the tarpaulin. Securing the load with the rollup
tarpaulin is no problem even when the load pro-
trudes slightly.

Horizontal bows ensure that the rollup tarpaulin does not lie on top of the load. The optional roof bows prevent water from coming into contact with sensi-tive loads.

When on the road, the winding aid is attached to the side of the chassis. Side straps and ratchets serve to tie down the rollup tarpaulin.
The guide enables you to rapidly roll up and unroll the tarpaulin.
The crank handle can be operated from the working platform in order to roll the tarpaulin over the body.
The quick-acting clamping device is operated from the working platform and serves to quickly tighten the mounted tarpaulin.
