Step 2 - Echium and Crambe Plantation (fields)

Profit from Step 1 to assist in the Echium growth and any remaining profit to assist in the Crambe growth andfurther investments.Quatro is dedicated to maintaining lifelong bio oil regenerative programs. The fundamental importance of usingbio oils is that they are good for the planet, as oils are made from oxygen producing plants, as opposed to usingthe Earth’s non reusable oil resources.

Echium PlantEchium oil, is a totally natural product that accelerates the regeneration of skin cells and holds anti-inflammatoryproperties, Echium therefore has uses in both the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry in such products as skincreams and anti aging products.Echium oil contains notable quantities of the vital Omega 6 and Omega 3 long chain and essential PolyUnsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFA’s) such as Gamma-Linolenic (GLA) and Stearidonic Acid (SDA). Essential fatty acidsare vital for the integrity of every cell membrane in the body. The properties of Echium help reduce fine lines andwrinkles in the skin resulting in a more youthful appearance.


Echium Seed Oil is extracted from the Echium plant seed and dried to a powder before adding it to a water basedgel for application. This eliminates greasy residue shiny skin and the staining of clothing, sometimes associatedwith oils and creams. This is new technology, which has been patented and is not available elsewhere.

Our New product range uses this new technology to produce Echium Gel for various cosmetic and pharmaceuticalapplications.

Crambe Plant (Abyssinica)

Crambe Abyssinica is an oilseed crop, which is native to the Mediterranean. It is grown for the Erucic acid in itsoil. Industrial rapeseed is the traditional and dominant source of Erucic acid. Crambe has more Erucic acid in itsoil, when the Crambe seed is dehulled; the oil content also approaches 50 per cent (%)

The oil contains 50% to 60% Erucic acid (a long chain fatty acid), which is usedin the manufacture of plastic films, plasticizers, nylon, adhesives and electricalinsulation. Crambe contains 8% to 9% more Erucic acid then industrialrapeseed oil and the crop is better suited to higher rainfall areas.

Location: Africa, Kenya

As a social responsible organisation we will contribute back to the community and helpcreatejobsinindustrialfarmingandprovidesocialbenefitssuchascontributionstoschools,health clinics and housing. We will work with local charity organisations to bring value,aid and assistance to the local communities where the Echium and Crambe plants will beplanted.

To boost local business and economy we only use existing industrial farming land – thismeans we do not clear forests or farm on food producing lands to grown bio oils.

To ensure sustainability of the project, water is not taken from drinking supplies for peopleor animals but is supplied from specific boreholes.
