Assembly Instructions:

First cut 10' 2x4 as follows; 2 @ 24”, 4 @ 12” And 1 @ 15”See assembly drawings for details.

When assembling the barrel be careful to glue well each joint, as the shock of firing would other wise loosen the assembly rather quickly. I recommend using two 3” wood screws at each joint after applying the glue.

The pocket used to hold the tennis ball is one critical element in the device, pay close attention when constructing this portion.Tension adjustment, which affects range, can be accomplished by altering the length of the bands at the front of the barrel.

Theraband is color coded to define it's strength “Gold” is the only color which works well with slingshots. You'll just have to take my word for it.

3/4”x1” cleat which attaches the Theraband. Theraband is brought under cleat then around wood dowel then back under cleat. After which the two wood screws are tightened to hold band secure. This is also how you adjustment is made for power. Simply shorten the length of the bands to

increase power, although two three foot bands should give you sufficient power and distance.

Leather pocket to hold tennis ball. Make sure and use a large button or something similar on the inside of the pocket to fasten “P cord” to, other wise it will pull through the leather.I would recommend using metal grommets in the leather which makes attaching the Theraband that much easier and secure. A simple overhand knot is all that's needed to make the attachment.

Trigger assembly:Slingshot is held in a cocked position by 16d nail which has been cut off and filed smooth. Firing loop is behind slingshot loop on nail. To fire gently pull firing loop and release the slingshot.

Cocked and ready to fire. Simple, no reason to over complicate. Firing elevation is equally as simple, use either a couple of nails as a cleat or buy a small cleat to mount at the rear of the barrel. Attach a piece of “P cord” to the base and then wrap around cleat to hold the barrel in the desired elevation for firing. Be creative with your own sighting system.
