Verizon Wireless is excited to announce a new software update for the LG G PAD 10.1 4G LTE tablet. This update brings Android™ 5.0.2 Lollipop to your tablet along with other improvements.

Android Lollipop operating system update for your LG G PAD 10.1 4G LTE

Home Touch Buttons• Home touch buttons design has been updated to

match Android Lollipop style.

• The Recent button will be inserted between the

Home and Menu buttons. However, you can rearrange

the button combinations.

Lock Screen Notifications• Notifications now appear on the lock screen.

• With Swipe lock, you can tap “More” or swipe downward on the notification list to display all notifications.

• With secured lock (Pattern, PIN or password), you have to unlock the device to see the details of each notification.

Smart Lock• You now turn on “Smart Lock” in Settings under Lock Screen.

• Smart Lock lets you add trusted devices that can communicate with your LG G Pad 10.1 4G LTE without requiring you to manually unlock it.

Unlock Screen Notifications• Notification panel only requires a single swipe to dispay

“Notifications” and “Quick Settings” at once.

• Swiping upward on the notification panel will only dismiss the Quick Settings, resulting in displaying the notification section.



Screen Pinning• Screen Pinning allows you to lock the device to a single app.

• Once an app has been pinned, the Home and Recent navigation buttons will cease to do anything, and the back button will only function within the app.

• The icons on the status bar will also fade out, and the notification shade becomes inaccessible.

• Holding the Back and Recent buttons at the same time will unpin the app.

Floating Action Button (FAB)• Floating action button is added for the main applications to

promote the key action such as adding or composing new item.

• Floating action buttons are supported for the Contacts, Email, Alarm/Clock and Music applications.

Interruptions• Interruptions feature allows you to determine what

notifications and alarms your device will sound or display.

• ‘No Interruptions’ which will stop your device from sounding and all types of notifications including alarms.

• ‘Priority Only’ which allows you to set what apps and which calendar events and notifications are displayed.

• ‘All Interruptions’ allows all notifications to be displayed.

• ‘Interruptions’ is mapped to sound toggle button on Quick settings.

Search in Settings• The Settings are now searchable.

• “Search” in the Settings page allows you to search through all settings listings.

Multi-User• You can now access the “multi user” mode on the

notification panel.

• “Multi User” mode allows you to set up multiple profiles on your device, each with individual settings and permissions.

Avoid Bad-WiFi Connections• Added ‘Avoid bad Wi-Fi connections’ in Advanced

Wi-Fi options.

• If Wi-Fi network is not connected to the internet and ‘Avoid bad Wi-Fi connections’ is turned off, ‘No Wi-Fi Internet connection’ pop-up will be displayed.
