Jackie Hurlberts visual language communicates something beyond representation or pureaesthetics. She has created a vocabulary o symbolism, where oversized eet denote the strengthto stand alone, and exaggerated hands beckon you to step inside yoursel. For her, clay serves asthe vehicles o meditation; a way o speaking without words.

Kina Crow is a sel taught artist, Having worked in theater wardrobe, helping actors to dene

their ctional personas, her wealth o knowledge concerning story, antasy, relationships, andnarration now inuses her sculptures with a distinct sense o character. Heavily autobigraphicaleach piece, however small, represents a ragment or moment rom the artists lie.

Leslie Hinton creates sculptures that are instantly recognizable. By approaching the suraceso her ceramics in much the same way a child does with a coloring book, the ceramicist is ableto give each piece an impulsive and endearing quality. Never quite ree rom the heavier adultthemes o guilt and death, Hintons ceramics cling to a happier and more innocent past whilehinting at darker times to come.
