More than 75% participants said the data on their smart phone
was more
important than the smart phone itself.
Samsung was the most popular smart-phone brand amongst survey
participants
with 34.8% users. Nokia came in second at 24.4% while Blackberry
came a
distant third with 10.4%.
51.% use 3G on their smart phones.
77.4% reported using facebook on their smart phones.
Background
The Smart Phone Security Survey 2012 (India) was conducted in
October and November, 2012.
6230 smart phone users from India took part in the survey which
was conducted online as well as
offline. The survey participants included:
1. School students1,
2. College students2,
3. Working professionals, self employed and business
owners3,
4. Home-makers and retired persons.
