The room locations will be College Center 117 for Main Campus & Keystone 130A for Monroe Campus.

Remember, these meetings are mandatory. If you do not attend without prior approval, you will jeopardize receiving continued funding through the SMaRT Scholars grant. If you have a conflict with a scheduled class, please contact Dennis Ebersole, (debersole@northampton.edu) prior to the meeting.

Summer 2015 Course Registration began 11/10/14.

This is an option for you to stay on track or get ahead but remember that the SMaRT Scholarship does not fund these courses.

Also note that these courses are a shorter duration than in a Fall/Spring semester so more material is covered in less weeks and you will meet more frequently during the week. o For that reason, it’s a good idea to discuss your

plans with your advisor or Christina (cturissini@northampton.edu) regarding the amount of courses you’d want to attempt in the summer session(s).

The deadline for applications to the summer program at Lehigh University that Vassie Ware spoke to you about last Fall is February 2, 2015.

This 10-week summer program (May 20-July 31) includes a research intensive experience as part of a research team, as well as BDSI-sponsored research discussion sessions, research seminars, interdisciplinary research workshops, and social activities.

Students will receive a $4,200 stipend for a commitment of 40 hours per week of research.

A limited amount of on-campus housing will be available.

Students with majors in life sciences, physics, mathematics, chemistry, computer science, and engineering are encouraged to apply
