Gavin Duffy and Sean Gallagher Invested in the two new comers to the business world. I had the pleasure of mentoring the new business. The Enterprise Acceleration Centre is a business incubation centre serving the Mid-West region of Limerick, Clare and Tipperary located on ca mpus within Limerick Institute of Technology. Our mission is to deliver a unique business environment that stimulates innovation, research commercialisation and entrepreneurship. As of July 2008, there are 21 companies employing over 45 personnel operating from the EAC. These companies have a significant international sales focus with exports to China, India, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, France, Czech Republic, US and of course the UK. Our Building part of the campus Clients of the Enterprise Acceleration Centre have all the advantages of operating within a leading edge business environment encompassing customised offices, managed print facility, high-speed broadband , restaurant, and board room and meeting room facilities. The Centre has 18 business incubation units available to entrepreneurs with early stage companies who meet the criteria set by Enterprise Ireland for High Potential Start-Ups (HPSUs). Each of these units is approximately 25 square metres each and can comfortably accommodate 1 to 4 people. There are several accommodation offerings for start up business clients. The first option is to take a unit or units while other options include our µready to go shared office solution¶ or µhot desks¶ while virtual incubation services are also available. The Centre provides business development services to clients via one-to-one mentoring andreview with the EAC Manager and also externally via referral to experts based in the region

and also nationally - linkages to Enterprise Ireland is a critical dimension of the EAC service.
