The district’s Middle School Course Description Booklet can be found online at: http://www.cfisd.net/files/9513/9532/7192/mscourse.pdf

Smith Middle School does not offer every elective course listed in the district booklet. We only offer the elective courses listed on this registration sheet. Course descriptions and prerequisites are listed in the Course Description Booklet.

Students enrolling in a full-year elective are required to stay in the class for a full year.

Students may not choose which semester or period to take a course.

Off-campus P.E. requires 15 hours per week participation in an Olympic caliber program at an approved facility. Students must have already participated at the facility for at least ten hours per week for two years. Students may come in late or leave early. Completed applications must be submitted before May 1st. Call the Counselor’s office for more information.

On this form, assume your child will not attend summer school. If you do sign up for summer school, there will be space on that form where you can indicate course changes.

Course verification slips listing all courses and levels will be sent home in May.

An electronic copy of the Cypress Fairbanks ISD Middle School Course Description book may be found online at CFISD.net, Parents and Students, Curriculum/Course Descriptions, Course Descriptions Booklet MS.
