Part 1 of Application Process: Tutor Application

The application can be found on the SMLC’s website under the “Student Positions” tab https://www.jmu.edu/smlc/documents/smlc-peer-tutor-application.pdf

Candidates need to return the completed application to a specific person Chemistry and Physics: Dr. Mary Tam Math and Statistics: Dr. Jason Preszler

Part Two of Application Process: Letters of Recommendation

Document can also be found of the SMLC website under “Student Positions” tab https://www.jmu.edu/smlc/documents/smlc-recommendation-letter-form.pd

Either the recommender or the student can submit the letters of recommendation

The student needs to submit 2 letters One from a professor in the subject the student would like to tutor in One from anyone who can speak about personality/character
