Checktoseeifyourmentorhasalreadybeenaddedtothedropdownlist.Ifso,selectyourmentorbyclickingon“AddSelectedMentor”.Ifnot,selectthegreenboxtorequestyourmentorbeadded.

Completetheformwithyourmentor’sinformation.IfyourmentorisfromNCStateUniversity,usethelowerformandclickontheblueboxtofindyourmentor.

ClickontheblueboxtotakeyoutotheentryforNCStateUniversitymentors.

IfyouhaveanNCStatementor,entertheUnityIDforthatindividual.Thiswillthenpopulatethementor’sinformation.

Onceallmentorsarelisted,gotoStep4to“AddAbstractInformation”.

TheupperportionofthiswebpagedescribesthedifferenttypesofpresentationsforSNCURCS.Readthedescriptiontodeterminewhichwouldbebestforyourresearch/creativework.Youwillneedtoselectthepresentationtypeloweronthepage.

Enterthetitleofyourabstract.SelectthePresentationTypethatyouwanttouse.Enteryourabstractbyoneoftheseways:1)typedirectlyintheboxusingsymbolsinthesystemasneeded,2)copyandpastefromWordbyfirstselectingtheiconwiththe“W”onit.Maximumwordsare300.DoNOTenteranykeywords,references,additionaltitles,authors,etc.herebecausetheywillbedeleted!Allauthorsandmentorsareenterpreviously.

IfyouarepastingfromWord– youshouldseethisboxfromtheearlierlink.PastethetextandselectOK.

Yourabstractwillbeinthebox.Select“SaveAbstractforReview”.

Reviewyourpresentationtype,discipline,title,andabstract.Ifalliscorrect,select“SaveAbstract”.Ifchangesshouldbemade,select“Cancel,gobacktomainSymposiumPage.”

YourabstractisnowlistedonthemainSymposiumSteppage.Checkforanyerrors.Ifcorrect,selectthebluebox– “SubmitAbstractforApproval”.Thiswillsendanemailtoyourprimarymentorandaskforapprovalorcorrections.Youwillnotbeabletoeditanythinguntilyourmentorhaseitherapprovedordisapprovedtheabstractafterthisselection.

Onceyourabstracthasbeensubmitted,youwillseetheconfirmationonthisscreen.

Youwillreceivethisemailafteryourabstractissubmittedforapproval.

• If your mentor approves your abstract, it will show in the dashboard that your abstract has been approved. • If your mentor does NOT approve your abstract, they will have

the option to give comments on what should be changed. Please consult with your mentor and make these changes as soon as possible so that you can correct the abstract, re-submit it for approval by your mentor, and allow time for your mentor to approve the corrected version.• Approval of your abstract does not register you for the

SNCURCS Symposium. Go to http://sncurcs.org/registration/ to register . The deadline is October 31, 2018.
