Daylong Activities and EventsAccept Your Offer of Admissions (AAO) Open Lab: Ready to become a Gator and say YES to SF State? Go online at gateway.sfsu.edu/applicants or come meet with our staff who are ready to help you submit your acceptance and pay your $100 enrollment confirmation deposit. Location: J. Campus Resources Fair on the Quad: Learn more about academic departments, student services, organizations and resources available to SF State students. Location: Campus Quad. Time: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Campus Tours: Take a campus tour and learn what SF State has to offer from a current student’s perspective. Tours run every 15 minutes from outside of the Administration Building (look for the purple and gold balloon arch). The last tour leaves at 2:30 p.m. Location: Administration Building courtyard. Time: 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

“Party on the West Campus Green” Hosted by Student Organizations and Associated Students Productions: Come learn about campus life and how students have FUN at SF State with over 70 student organizations. Izzy’s Cheesesteaks food truck will also be joining the party! Location: West Campus Green. Time: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

University Housing and Dining Services: Virtual housing tours are offered every 15 minutes in the Seven Hills Conference Center near the Dining Center. The last presentation begins at 2:45 p.m. Location: Seven Hills Conference Center and Housing Office. Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

One Stop Center: Submit required documents for admissions or student account-related matters. Location: Student Services Building. Time: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Open House: Visit us for general information, status verification, Summer Bridge 2017 information & Guardian Scholars Program interviews. Location: Student Services Building 201. Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

J.Paul Leonard Library: Visit the library’s table in their lobby. Speak to a librarian, learn about our computing/technology spaces, explore the top things to do in the Library, ask questions or take a self-guided tour. Small group tours will be offered every hour beginning at 8:30 a.m. The last tour leaves the lobby at 2:30 p.m. Location: J. Paul Leonard Library Lobby (1st floor). Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Letters of Recommendation & Personal Statement for Graduate School: This workshop is designed to assist SF State graduate school applicants in preparing a strong statement of purpose (personal essay) and letters of recommendation, which are critical components of the graduate school application. Living on Campus – Student Resident Panel: Interested in hearing about what it is like to live on campus? Come meet some of our current student residents and ask questions about their experience! Location: Towers Conference Center, Presidio Room. Sessions: II, III, IV

Metro Academies College Success Program: Metro helps first-generation, low-income and/or historically underrepresented students succeed at SF State/City College SF. Each Metro academy is a “school within a school,” serving as an educational home with personalized in-class academic support. Metro is a two-year learning community, or academy, of two courses each semester that share themes such as social justice, education equity, community health or ethnic studies. Metro courses satisfy general education requirements, so you can go on to complete your bachelor’s degree in any major. Location: HSS 130. Sessions I, II, III, IV

Early Start Summer Program: Early Start is a CSU mandated program for approximately half of incoming freshmen under (based on their math and English preparation). Freshmen StudentsTake Placement Tests Unless exempt, first-time college students graduating from high school must take the English Placement Test (EPT) and/or Entry Level Math (ELM) exams. Placement tests are mandatory to attend SF State in the Fall. Take the placement tests no later than the May 6 exam, (Must register by April 21, 2017.) Students with certain ELM and EPT scores must take summer coursework, called Early Start, prior to enrollment in classes at orientation. Students with certain EPT scores will also have to complete Directed Self Placement prior to orientation. Check your email used on your application frequently for notifications. Send Official Transcripts Upon graduation from high school, please arrange for official high school transcripts to be received by the Office of Admissions no later than July 15. If you have taken any college courses or earned a score of three or above on any Advanced Placement Examinations, please have the testing company forward an official transcript or test report to the Office of Admissions. Proof

of high school graduation must be posted on transcripts.
