Newsletter #wrap So, how was that for a great day! We are thrilled to announce that we made a whooping $81,000 profit on fair day. We think given the absence of an art auction this is a fantastic result. Pats on backs all round. This year our goal was to put on a family friendly day that was affordable to all of the school community. We wanted to reduce unnecessary expenses and we wanted to ensure all money spent at the fair meant the money stayed at the fair. We think we achieved that. _______________________________________________________________________________________ 2014 Windsor School Fair Raffle Announcement A Very Big Thank You to all those who bought and sold Raffle Tickets and donated prizes for our 2014 Windsor School Fair Raffle. Thank you to Zenergy Crossfit at Newmarket. Their pre –fair fundraiser for the fair raised more than $1060. Great result!

Everyone loves the pooch parade. Thanks to Wilston Vet for running it yet again. Tough competition!

Lots of thanks to the Windsor Fire Station and the SES for coming along. Thanks to St John Ambulance for helping us on the day. A few sick children around the place – excess fairy floss, lob-a-choc addictions and round up don’t mix too well it would seem.

_____________________________________________________________________________

Our entertainers on the day were a great bunch and we thank all of our teachers for helping the kids get ready for their class performances. We thank parents and

teachers who also performed on the day or night.

Our fair doesn’t get a good kick start without our cash sponsors.

Claire McGrath parent and business owner of Harcourts Rental Management Solutions has been an amazing gold sponsor. Her efforts before the fair sending in a crowd of

workers to help set up, her effort to promote the fair, her cash injection and other donations along the way have been a huge help to us. Claire – you are a gem.

Thank you to Toplock, Metro Nissan and Michael Stein our silver sponsors.

We thank Clear Insurance, Windsor Chiropractic and Talk About Home Loans - all parents who popped on board as sponsors. Thanks also to Newmarket Family Doctors

and Coopers for sponsoring us as well.

Robert Cavallucci MP was a star putting himself up for the dunk tank auction.

Counsellor Vicki Howard always loves to judge our pooch parade.

Your support of our school community is much appreciated.

DUNK TANK!!

Well, whose great idea was that !

What a hit! The amazing Leanne Stafford who brought us the Haunted House brought

us this year’s Dunk Tank. What an amazing job. Best dunk tank in town this year for

sure!

Heaps of fun, heaps of profits and heaps of chlorine

We hope we see it again! To all of the teachers who put themselves into the tank –

thank you, thank you, thank you!! Above and beyond for sure.

To the Men of the BBQ David Carter who managed the BBQ stall for the first time this year, would like to thank all the fathers who

kindly donated their time to cooking and serving. We had such a beautiful day and turnout. Feeding the

hungry masses at lunch-time was certainly no easy task! But with all your hard work we managed to feed a

huge number of people and become the most successful BBQ stall to date. So thanks again super dad's job

well done

Regards David Carter

To the Slushie Team I would like to thanks all that donated lemons on our stall. A Big thank you to all my Super Helpers..Carlee Hay... Murray Belcher...Jeff and Gina Smith..Samantha Tessman...Jude Peak...Sue Marostica... Valerie - Jane Sarmiento...Robert...Sophia...Dominique...Margaret Olivieri. And a Big big thank you to Sarah Thomas..Louise Roseman...Fiona Jamieson...and Kim Ayers for all your fantastic work..Fantastic Fair!!! Thanks – Cathy

To the Cake Crew

A huge thankyou from the Cake Ladies to all those amazing bakers. Your generosity in donating such

delicious and beautifully packaged bake goods helped us in raising some serious bread (pun absolutely

intended!).

Thank you also to those mums who gave us their time throughout the day to volunteer on the stall. Without

you we would have been lost.

A special thanks to Crystal Cooke for her magnificent styling, we heard so many positive comments

regarding how beautiful our stall looked that I am sure it really contributed to the day's takings.

We would also like to thank Min Pegler, who came for the first shift and ended up staying all day!

That's it from us - we look forward to doing it all again in 2016.

The Cake Ladies

THANK YOU TO THE SUPER STARS To all of our convenors of the individual stalls. We know how much effort before the fair you put in and how much hard work it is on the day. To those people who put their hand up to help on the rosters, we all know the fair does not happen without you. To the grandparents who served on stalls and cooked food for the stalls we thank you for your support. It was not so easy to fill rosters this year so to then see grandparents working all day on some stalls was really touching. Great effort. Your grandkids are very lucky! To those who helped set up Friday and pack up Saturday and Sunday. Thank you too. Lynnette and Louise, a great job on the raffle again. Thanks to the Treasury Team as well! Someone has been missed out but we hope we have thanked you along the way.

Finally, a huge thank you to Mr Keong and Mr O’Kane for the support they provided to the Fair Committee these last 12 + months. Your support on the Fair Day and night was greatly appreciated. Thank you Stephen for coming along on Sunday as well to tidy up. I hope you both got to put your feet up after a very very long week-end. The kids LOVED having you in the tank too.

A message from the convenors

Gone Fishin’ (except Louise, she is still tidying up the finances ) P & C will be seeking new fair convenors. Interested? Contact the P & C for more details.
