Multi-Base EL1 (Emulsifying Base)Making your own stable creams and lotions is now easy andaffordable! Multi-base is a thick, cream base that can betransformed into body cream, thick lotion, light lotion, body milkor body mist by just adding dionized warm water at 170 degreesF. It has no greasy after feel and you can add your own additiveswithout any additional pH adjustment. Multibase has a shelf lifeof 2 years after being opened and resealed and a shelf life of 1year once liquid has been added.

Ingredients: glycerin, glycol monostearate, octyldodecanol,isopropyl myristate, isopropyl palmitate, PEG-20 glycerylstearate, ceteareth-14, aloe vera extract, preservatives, stabilizerand water.

Instructions for using Multibase1 Measure your water and heat it to at least 170 degrees F.

2. Oily or waxy additives should be pre-blended with Multi-basebefore any water is added. Heat additives to 170 degrees beforeblending with Multi-base. Most additives should be used in the1-2% range. Extra preservatives may be needed when makingbody mist to avoid mold.

3. Make sure that all of your equipment has been sterilizedbefore making your cream, lotion etc.

4. We recommend using a stick blender when mixing so thatall ingredients are mixed well at a fast rate.

5.Add color and scent until the desired look and fragrance isachieved and pour into your bottle, tubs, tins etc.

Basic Melt & Pour Instructions

1. Cut your soap into 1” cubes and place in your melter.

2. Heat the soap using a double boiler system or in yourmicrowave at 50% power until melted. Please note thatoverheating will discolor your soap!

3. After your soap is melted, just add a drop or 2 of colorand 1/4 oz. of scent per lb. of soap and pour into yourfavorite molds.

4. Soap will harden as it cools. When your soap iscompletely cool, gently remove it from the mold.
