Mah-jongWednesday’s 1.30pm
Mah Jong is a game that originated in China and is commonly played by four players. The game is played with a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols using bamboos, circles, dragons & the four winds. The tiles are placed into four walls, which form a rectangle. Each player has a wooden rack upon which to place the tiles. It bears some resemblance to the card game of Rummy. A beginner’s table is available for those new to the game.

ScrabbleWednesday’s 1.30pm
Scrabble is a word game in which two to four players score points by placing tiles, bearing a single letter, onto a game board. The tiles must form words which, in crossword fashion, fl ow left to right in rows or downwards in columns. Come along and have some fun !!

Computer ClassesMonday – Friday
at differing times through the dayMonday through Friday general classes are run on a daily basis, at different times, where you can learn how to use your computer in a small friendly class run by our local volunteer experts. Mondays, David S is experienced in Windows Operating Systems – so come along and learn more about Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 along with any general computer software or programs.Tuesdays Sandra can assist those wanting to learn more about how their tablet works, along with any general computer software or programs advice.Wednesdays sees Sheryl able to assist with any general computer software or programs questions. Warrnambool Writers GroupSecond Monday of the Month
The Warrnambool Writing group has been meeting once a month since the early 1980’s. It was formed so local writers could share their work in a friendly, social and encouraging environment. Come along and enjoy a day out in Dunkeld. We will catch the bus from Flagstaff Hill, stop in Penshurst for some morning tea before venturing on to Dunkeld. We will go on a historical tour of the town, followed by some free time for lunch and a tour of the Museum. The Museum covers a range of industries, tools and memorabilia. It also has a collection relating to individuals and events from both World Wars, as well as a collection of Aboriginal artefacts.This collection is significant to the local area and the activities which have been undertaken in the Western District over the last 180 years or so.
