Protein Synthesis

• DNA directs protein synthesis.

• Two parts:

• Transcription: mRNA is formed from information from DNA. mRNA leaves the nucleus.

• Codons- three bases= an amino acid

• 2. Translation: The mRNA attaches to a ribosome. Then tRNA brings matching anti-codons to the mRNA.
