Why we can’t see many stars in cities compared to villages ?Due to bright light , smoke and dust the sky in cities is rarely clear. Night sky watching can be fascinating at a village because there are no bright light and atmosphere is clear.

Why moon look different and what isthis called?

The various shape that a moon takes during a month is called phases of moon. And the reason is-

We know that moon doesn’t has it’s own light it reflects sun light to Earth. While moon revolve around sun it give reflect the light of sun to us so its phases changes.

Moon’s surface was thought to be made of some minerals but when astronauts landed on moon they were amazed to see a cratered place with mountains and a dark surface made.

There are many tiny things in night sky called Stars . These are very large compared to Earth but they are very far so they appear very small.

Sun is 15 million km away from us and the second nearest star is more than 1000 million km away these should be written in easier way which is Light Year .

A Light Year is distance covered by light in one year which is 9,460,000,000,000 km.Another point to noted that if we see a star which is a light year away from earth then we are seeing light emitted by it a year ago .

What are Constellations ?

Constellations are imaginary things made by stars in night sky these are named by ancient GreeksThe International Astronomical Union has divided night sky into 88 constellations and there part.

What are Artificial satellites ?

Do you think how we get weather news and news of other country reach our T.V.These are done by satellites which are orbiting the earth but these satellites are man-made and so called Artificial Satellites.
