Hollywood vs. Faith; The struggle to live faithfully in the media age
Saturday, June 30, 2018- Immediately after the 5:30 pm Mass
Frank Runyeon has received national acclaim as a speaker on the subject of the mass media, as well as for his
work as a translator and performer of Biblical texts over the past 20 years.
He has performed the Gospel for hundreds of thousands of people in virtually every state of
America.
In the current talks of HOLLYWOOD vs. FAITH, Runyeon urges his audience to think about the
media, not just take a bath in them. He suggests, with humor, how to watch TV “inside-out.” He
discusses the subtle impact of commercial sponsorship, as well as the real reasons for all the sex
and violence in the media, offering a fresh perspective as an actor who desires truth in
storytelling, not censorship. Hosted by Annunciation’s Youth Ministry.

Saturday, July 21 following the 5:30pm Youth Mass
We will be having another Music in the Plaza event this summer on . As a community, let's show our
support for our Youth as they lead their third Youth Mass at the 5:30 mass! Afterwards, stay for a fun
evening of music provided by Annunciation's own Mark and Sara St. Pierre with the "Part-time
Band!"
Tacos for sale, along with a no-host bar. Bring your lawn chairs! Doors open at 6:30, and the music
will begin from 7-9pm, as usual.

The Altar Guild meets on the first Thursday of each month from October through June. The next meeting will not be until October 4, 2018, at 1:00 in the Parish House.
