Steps taken to calculate Plastic and Phosphorus Savings Referenced actual Solid Power® and Solid Power Plus volumes for 12 months through

August 2010 for all locations Calculated the total actual plastic and phosphorus consumption, what they would have

generated in Solid Power XL plastic and phosphorus consumption, and took the difference between the 2

Carbon footprint impact for transportation was not factored into the total due to the large number of variables, including customer proximity to Ecolab production facilities and distribution.

Plastic savings can be converted into a carbon footprint reduction estimate using available conversion tools. 1 pound of empty 20 fl. oz plastic bottles = 1.14 pounds of CO2 per pound of 20 fl. oz plastic bottles. Our conversion formula came from:
