HP Thin Clients’ Value PropositionKey attributes of HP Thin Clients make it a suitable device for specific-purpose or embedded computing.

Plug-and-play and simple operationsHP Thin Client is designed to be a plug-and-play device, making the IT operation as simple as possible and reduce the cost of providing deskside IT support for users.

Energy-efficient and low heat dissipationHP Thin Clients is energy efficient, consuming less power than a traditional PC. It will result in more cost savings and contribute into the customer’s green initiative.

Device-level managementHP Thin Clients are highly manageable remotely using complimentary, enterprise-grade, HP Device Manager software.

Fan-less design: completely silentHP Thin Client is typically fan-less. It is therefore completely silent devoid of the hissing sound of the fan. At the same time, fan-less design increases reliability.

Compact design The slim, compact, design of HP Thin Clients makes it easy to mount behind display screens. It will provide a clean and clutter-free workplace for users.

Drive multiple screensA single HP Thin Client can drive 2, 4 or 6 display screens, each up to 4k resolution2 to cater to different user requirements.

Embedded operating systemHP Thin Clients run on Linux® or Windows® Embedded operating system, with enhanced security and smaller OS footprint.

Support for fiber-optic networksHP Thin Clients support fiber-optic network interfaces1 (FNIC) that may be required to further enhance data-security.

Warranty and worldwide support servicesHP Thin Clients carries a 3-year limited warranty and HP provides peerless post-sales support and services worldwide.

Why is HP Thin Client the best for VDI?An HP Thin Client is the most suitable access device to a VDI environment because it is highly manageable, secured, simple to use and of small dimension, making it uncomplicated for users to access the virtual PC in the VDI.

It can be locked down such that no data can be stored locally in the thin-client to prevent data leakage and enhance overall security in the enterprise.

Not using a thin-client and continue using a traditional PC to access a virtual PC is akin to effectively duplicating the PCs: a physical one at the user’s hand and a virtual one in the VDI. This may result in confusion for the users and duplication of IT work in managing, maintaining and supporting the PCs, defeating the very purpose of VDI itself.
