recycling facility to recycle old furniture. Furniture is separated

for possible donation to local charities. All remaining items

are disassembled into components and segregated into

waste streams for recycling.

Spire Regency Hospital

The innovative, ergonomically designed and distinctively

styled Velvare was installed in bedrooms and waiting areas

throughout the Spire Regency Hospital in Cheshire. A private

hospital owned by Spire Healthcare, Spire Regency Hospital

offers a full range of surgeries, from minor procedures

to major operations for patients from South Manchester,

Cheshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Greater Manchester.

The Royal London Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust)

First phase installation of bespoke ward furniture and patient

seating was completed by Teal at new state-of-the-art

healthcare facilities at The Royal London Hospital. Products

were developed specifically for The Royal London and involved

close collaboration with the Trust following clinical input.

Teal delivered patient seating, bedside lockers and

over-bed tables which helped transform the hospital experience.

Highfield Hospital Group

Specialist dementia and mental health furniture supplied by

Teal was installed throughout a new purpose built, 037 million,

200-bed residential care unit by the Highfield Hospital Group

in Dublin with products installed throughout reception, café,

bedroom, office and communal lounge areas in the new

Mental Health Facility, Acute Psychiatric Unit and a dementia

specific residential care unit.

Drumbrae Care Home

Drumbrae Care Home is a new 60-bed care home providing

high-quality care for a client group which includes those

in residential care and support suffering from a number of

restrictions; frailness and infirmity, dementia and mobility

challenges. Working closely with Edinburgh Council, Teal

provided project management, supplying furniture for dining,

activity & quiet rooms, communal lounges and bedrooms.

Dementia

Design and manufacturing for dementia care can present important considerations and concerns that can affect the approach to the interior environment.

At Teal we have a wealth of experience to assist in providing a range of furniture solutions that are imaginative and therapeutic, helping bring security and stimulation. Teal recognises that dementia care is a very individual approach. Our designs and solutions help deliver a personal touch, creating an interior for safety, comfort and self esteem.

We have developed furniture to assist the daily life of dementia care, reflecting the interests, gender and stage of life of the user. Our experience allows us to advise on the colours of bedroom furniture, the use of fabrics and upholstery detail, even to providing a range of tactile activity resources in our Busy Hands range.

The original should be provided in this instance.• Wooden Frames - Infection Control Teal patient chairs and most other polished chair frames incorporate

clear Medicote lacquer, formulated to include an agent that stops bacteria surviving on the surface. 448 Medicote will prevent the spread of Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA), Escherichia Coli 0157 (e.coli), Salmonella Enteritidis, Bacillus Cereus (food poisoning) and other bacteria with a kill rate of 99% within 24 hours. (Accredited by Law Laboratories, ref 05H547).

Medicote also reduces the risk of deterioration, discolouration and odours caused by micro-organisms. Meets the requirements of FIRA Standard 6250:2005 and rated as Heavy/Severe use.
