Keeping pace with rapid technological advancement the University has tied up with IBM Career Education to set up an IBM Lab for Emerging technologies, which will become a Centre of Excellence. IBM will conduct courses for the students, which will give them a cutting edge in their professional courses.
Institute of Technology Blanchardsdown (ITB) Ireland
The NorthCap University and ITB Ireland enjoy a strong and productive relationship. An effective alliance between the two institutions is progressing significantly. The core priority and purpose of the alliance is to deliver a seamless international experience to students and to empower them in a globally integrated scenario. Nine students and two faculty have so far benefitted from the MoU.
University of Chester
The purpose of the collaboration with the University of Chester is to give undergraduate and graduate students of both the universities the experience of a semester or year abroad through an exchange programme. Further, both institutions would run joint faculty development programmes and online learning. Taking the cooperation forward, the Schools of Management of both the universities have worked out schemes which will be implemented shortly.
Universities of France
The “n+i” engineering network, a consortium of over 70 French Grandes Ecoles (elite
engineering institutes) and the largest such network in France, collaborates with The NorthCap University. With a substantial scope for cooperation with the leading
universities of France, the consortium has encouraged strong linkages with The NorthCap University.
Power Grid Corporation of India, Gurgaon
A Navratna Public Sector Enterprise and one of the largest transmission lines utilities
in the world has signed an MoU with The NorthCap University. The collaboration
benefits The NorthCap University's internship, management development,
research and training programmes. The NorthCap University in turn will organize executive education programmes, document case studies and development training programmes.
Chartered Institute of Arbitrators
The NorthCap University signed an MoU with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (India) branch of CIArb, UK, a non-profit organization which focuses exclusively on creating awareness on arbitration as an effective means to settle disputes, and runs programmes and courses on arbitration in India. NCU Law students would benefit a great deal by this tie-up. While doing their BBA-LLB (Hons) course, they would be in a position to add to their professional graph in what is becoming one of the most sought-after areas of the future, the field of arbitration.
ECON Systems
A company in the field of Embedded Systems, ECON systems has entered into an MoU with us, where our students will be trained and employed in ECON Systems and the University will provide all support for their training.

Our Achievements - School of Management
Academic life continues to be well supported by superior infrastructure. The campus, spread over 10 acres, with a covered area of 22,000 square metres, currently has an academic infrastructure of 60 classrooms, 18 tutorial rooms, 68 labs, 25 workshops, faculty cabins, a seminar hall, conference rooms and a 420 seat, state of art Auditorium. The campus provides for a music club, photo club, yoga centre, and the Yukti Social Club. It has sports facilities for nearly all indoor and outdoor sports. The cricket-cum-football ground is arguably one of the finest grounds in the NCR, with floodlight facilities for night sports. Two air-conditioned cafeteria with a total capacity of about 200 is one of the most prominent features of the facilities provided to students. In addition, company brands such as Amul and Nestle have popular outlets on campus. The entire campus is wi-fi-enabled, fully air-conditioned, with a 24-hour power back-up and a rainwater harvesting system, ensuring minimal waste of rainwater. The University provides hostel facilities to over 200 students. The rooms are well-furnished, and the hostels also have a 24-hour power back-up system, treated water, wi-fi, intercom, indoor sports facilities, a central kitchen, entertainment and recreational facilities, and a bus to convey the students to and from the University.
During the year, the infrastructure has been further expanded to cater to the future growth of the University. An imposing state-of-the-art building has come up, which includes a double basement car park, additional classrooms, research and other labs, besides faculty rooms and an auditorium. A large amphitheater has been constructed on the campus during the year and is being used extensively for various university functions and club activities. 234 faculty cabins were fully refurnished to improve the ambience for academic work.
In addition, the University has recently added a well-furnished Guest House which now enables visitors and the new faculty joining the University to find a comfortable boarding and lodging facility opposite the main gate of the University.
How Eco-Friendly we are?
The NorthCap University, one of the leading private universities in India, is committed to the green movement. Campus-wide initiatives at reducing, reusing and recycling are helping it achieve a green code of living:
• Energy Conservation: LED lighting, false ceilings to reduce heat load, as well as abundant natural light help make the building energy efficient.
• Use of renewable energy: Based on green audit, installation of 150 KW rooftop solar PV system with net metering facility - possibly the first and only university to install it.
• Water harvesting: Five rain water harvesting structures with pipes going to 300 feet below ground.
• Sewage management: Garbage handed over to MCG for proper disposal. No hazardous waste produced on campus. 100 KLD sewage treatment plant to ensure zero discharge to municipal sewer line with plans to use treated water for horticulture.
• Efforts for Carbon neutrality: Green foot print through 6 acres of green area out of 10 acre campus area.
• Plantations: Lush green gardens all around the campus. 14th consecutive year NCU a winner of HUDA garden competition in Gurgaon.

Library & Information Resource Centre
The Library and Information Resource Centre (LIRC) at The NorthCap University, a vanguard of its ever-growing infrastructure development, consistently receives principal attention from the University management. Currently, the LIRC has a collection of over 83,000 volumes in all areas of Engineering, Law, Sciences and Management. The LIRC subscribes to over 800 print journals from reputable publishers, institutions, societies, like Indian Academy of Science journals, IIMB Management Review, Decision, Vision, Harvard Business Review, BCI Journal, etc. The LIRC has fully computerized its services with the Libsys Software. The circulation of books is done with the bar-coded system placed on each book and an RFID system is planned in the future.
The details of facilities provided by the LIRC are as under:
• Online Renewal of Books: The LIRC provides the facility of online renewal of books for all users. Any user can reissue the books issued in their account through the WEBOPAC facility from anywhere. The link to use this facility on the library page is www.library.ncuindia.edu.
• Multimedia Section: This section allows users to access the electronic resources subscribed to by the LIRC. Twenty dual core machines with printer and scanner facility have been installed for users. Head phones for access to audio-video materials are provided.
• Ebrary (E-books Database): The LIRC subscribes to the Ebrary e-books database. These books are related to the areas of engineering, law, management, applied sciences and general collection books. This database has many advanced features like download of books, creating bookshelves within the database.
• Book Bank: A book bank facility is available for students of the School of Engineering and Technology and School of Management. Students can join the book bank membership by paying a nominal amount, and can take five books in each semester for permanent retention.
• LIRC Web Page: Informs students about the resources subscribed to by the LIRC and information on print books available in the library.
• Online Resources: The LIRC subscribes to online electronic resources e.g. The IEEE Explore, Elsevier Science Direct, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), EBSCO, SAGE Journals, MANUPATRA, Proquest Ebrary.
• Remote Access Facility: Remote access facility to access all online resources is also provided. With the help of a VPN user ID and password, users can access all subscribed resources at their homes, 24X7.

• E – waste management: Segregated and reused where relevant or recycled to external vendors for proper disposal.
• Paper recycling: Reduced usage of paper by using electronic medium of communication. Tie up with vendors ensures recycling of newsprint.
• Social service: Gifting necessities to the needy.
• Programmes, conferences impart skills in sensitizing and mobilizing community participation.
Industrial visit to Carrier Aircon, Gurugram
he School of Management (SOM) has been steadily consolidating and making sustained progress. TThe School maintained the admission criteria which was raised to attract better talent. This has
resulted in significantly higher intake quality this year also. Further, the School brought on board some
nationally and internationally renowned academicians to teach as adjunct and visiting faculty. The third
major step was to redefine and reinvent our course structures relevant to the needs of industry.
The School has been successfully running its three-year full-time UG programmes of BBA, BCom(H)
and BSc Economics (H) course and two year full time MBA programme. Despite the competitive
pressure in MBA admissions across India, the selectivity ratio of the students was 1:3.5, and all the
approved seats were filled. The PhD (Management) programme is also progressing well. The total
number of research scholars pursuing PhD from SOM is 18.
Students have been actively involved in clubs, professional societies, extracurricular activities and
sports and have won numerous awards and recognitions. Live projects, summer internships and final
placements are continually being arranged for the students. Value-added programmes for MBA, BBA
and BCom students were conducted throughout the year. Faculty members continued to be involved
in all students activities; their own academic advancement, growth of the School and undertaking
research activities. During the year, five new faculty members joined the School of Management. All
faculty members in the School either have doctoral degrees or are pursuing PhDs.

Under Graduate Programmes
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)The BBA program of The NorthCap University is a three-year undergraduate course leading to a foundation in business administration. The program also serves as a stepping stone for the students to pursue a post graduate level management program later. BBA program aims at developing competencies in five main management areas: effective communication, application of quantitative methods, problem solving, decision making and critical analysis, and leadership. B.Com (Hons)A prestigious course B.Com (Hons) has been designed under the guidance of well known experts of NCR and it has been launched in the academic session 2012-13. The course structure fulfills all the requirements needed for well sought after courses like MBA, CA, CS, ICWA, CFA and other similar course. The focus and objective of this course is to enhance the application oriented skills of the students in the fields of quantitative aptitude, management, economics, accounts and business laws needed in the global scenario. Apart from this orientation, due emphasis has also been laid down on the personality development and soft skills in the course structure.
B.Sc (Eco)BSc (Eco.) Hons. was started with effect from academic session 2013-14. The course has been designed in association with experts and professionals from academics, banking, finance, research and consultancy. At the end of the program, the students will be able to understand the basic concepts of microeconomics, macroeconomics, basic issues of Indian economy, international trade, growth and development process, etc. This is to be done with the application of mathematical and statistical tools, in order to learn business forecasting and other econometric techniques.
Post Graduate Programme
School of Management at The NorthCap University offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) program to the students graduating from any discipline. The program blends two years of regular course-work, internship and a major final-year project to facilitate learning of management concepts and practices. Master of Business Administration for working Professionals has also been floated that will cater to the career enhancement needs of working executives. MBA for working professionals program will have the core courses in common with regular MBA and various elective courses based on the expectations of the executives participating in the program. Apart from the knowledge in the subject area, each student undergoes numerous non-credit value-added courses aimed at personality-enhancement and development of soft skills. The focus of the NCU MBA program is on the functional dimensions in the domain of major industries operating in Gurgaon. Faculty members in the school are highly qualified in their field and deeply committed to creation of institute-wide academic excellence. The programs are further enriched through special sessions from eminent guest speakers from the industry and adjunct faculty from the collaborating Universities and professional institutions.
PhD
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD programme) at SOM caters a small group of exceptionally gifted individuals who want to open up an academic career. The degree is well-recognized in the country. The areas of research offered are Operations, Marketing, Human Resource, Finance and Economics. In order to provide the best of research guidance to the PhD scholars, each PhD scholar is provided with an internal supervisor from the School of Management and an eminent subject expert from outside. During their academic venture at SOM, NCU PhD students can tap into the School's strong online database and unparalleled opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.

Prof. DR Agarwal is a veteran with 54+ years of teaching and research. He has worked as Project-Economist (Class 1 Cadre) on deputation from the Haryana Higher Education Department for four years. He formulated a number of development projects/schemes for all round development of Mewat and was instrumental in setting up a vocational training centre and a research-cum- reference library for carrying out research work on Mewat. He was the state level coordinator for training programmes organized by the Department of Higher Education for college teachers and principals. He was a ‘Distinguished Faculty’ from 1999-2010 of the prestigious programme of The University of London for the courses of BSc (Management) and BSc (Economics) at the external study centre in ITM, Gurgaon (now NCU). He was conferred the Life Time Achievement Award by the Director General Education, Haryana in 2011. He has written several research papers and books on Quantitative Methods, Statistics and Economics.
Dr Krasae Chanawongse
Dr Krasae Chanawongse, Chairman Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), Thailand, is an Honorary Distinguished Professor at ITMU. ADPC is an international organization working on reducing the effect of disasters in the Asia-Pacific region. Dr Chanawongse, a medical doctor by profession and winner of the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Award in community leadership in 1973, is presently the Chairman, Princess Narathiwas University, Chairman of Naresuen University, Chairman of Panyapirat Institute of Management and Founder of the College of Asian Scholars in Thailand. Internationally, he has been the Chief Expert of the United Nations FPA in Bangladesh; Technical Advisor of WHO in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar and Nepal; a Teaching Fellow at Columbia University; a Visiting Professor at Hawaii University, and a member of the International Board Committee of the Asian Information Center in Kobe, Japan.

industrial experience, spanning over 37 years, covers a wide range of areas in
Industrial Engineering, Human Resource Management and Information Technology. In
his last corporate assignment as Head (HR-T & D) at EIL, he was responsible for many

the students and the corporate world. They facilitate the students smooth transitioning from the campus-

Apart from the criteria set by different companies which come to the campus for placement SPA has laid
down its own eligibility criteria for short listing the students, to be able to sit for any placement process. A
student to be eligible should have cleared all the semesters with a minimum CGPA of 6.00 and having at least
