Organised by the Wakefield District Community Foundation, the awards

give public recognition to volunteers who run/organise activities or

contribute in any way to helping their local community or district.

The nominations can be in ANY area such as:

• Sport - do they run a sports club, are they coaching...

• Disability - do they provide a support service, social club....

• Mental health - do they support people with dementia, depression...

• Arts - do they run a drama group, art classes...

• Befriending - do they visit the local elderley or those who are isolated...

This is just an example, if you know someone else, nominate them!

Say thank you.....to that person you know who volunteers their time and

delivers something extraordinary and nominate them today!

Nominees must

• Volunteer their own time however little that is

• Deliver their benefit in the Wakefield District

• Be of any age (10 or above) and any sector of society

• Be nominated by an individual, voluntary organisation or business in the district
