RELATED CONSIDERATIONS

The output of a SWM8, SW16, SWM32 switch, or SL3S or SL5S SWM LNB is split to multiple rooms or

apartments and the receiver signal levels are low at

distant locations.

Model LA281R boosts cable and DBS signal levels

off setting the loss of 300 feet of RG-6 while passing

data modem and receiver control signals from the

receiver to the switch.

This product is a universal coaxial amplifier. The

amplif ier works with ATSC, CAT V, DBS & SWM.

Includes passive 2 to 40 MHz sub-band return.

Model LA281R-T includes model PS12250 12 volt

power supply. Model LA281R-T24 includes model

PS242000A 24 volt power supply.

Indoor / Outdoor 54 to 2400 MHz DBS line

powered amplifier with forward gain and sub-

band 2 to 40 MHz passive return.

Model LA281R extends SWM drop distances while

passing the 2 MHz control signals. The SL5S LNB and

is powered via the LA281R-T power supply.

SL5S switches include automatic gain control for a

constant -30 dBm output. The SL5S is remotely located

at 150 feet from the MPOE. With a LA281R-T24 line

extender, the MSPLT-8 output is -30 dBm.

With the LA281R in place, room (4) @ 250 feet from the

8-way splitter has an acceptable signal level of -55 dBm.
