1. AIG VALIC Relius QA: May 2015 – Till Date:

VALIC is implementing Relius Admin into their eco-system for compliance calculation. The ER Approval Amount, Eligibility, Vesting will be calculated by Relius and sent back to VALIC system in form of various reports. Working as Offshore Lead in Kolkata with a team size of 15. Responsible for task assignment, knowledge transition, Review, task tracking etc.

2. Work Experience in TIAA-CREF: August 2008 – April 2015:

TIAA-CREF is one of the leading Retirement Service provider in USA. Omni Station is used as the Policy Admin platform in TIAA-CREF and used as the record keeping system as well. During the Tenure of 5.5 years in TIAA-CREF worked in multiple projects in TIAA-CREF. Omni Station Upgrade, Major Enhancement projects, New business setup, Enrollment, Remittanmce, File Processing (Legacy), Loans, Disbursment, QDRO, QDIA are few of the major projects where I worked. Besides, worked in Filenet workflow implementation, Captiva (image capture and processing) systems. Major projects/process is TIAA-CREF:

1> Omni Upgrade: Worked on Enrollment, Contribution, Participant header change, EXP AG, Processing of Transactions through EXP AG.

2> Prostectus: Test Design, Data entry in Omni Station, Generation of Prospectus, Printing of the Prospectus, Reports in Mobius.

3> Roster mapping: Roster Mapping is used as part of DE in almost every project. Coordinated the Roster Mapping job run with Batch Service Team as and when needed as part of regression or DE in many projects.

4> TNG IRA Substitute: New cref contract number replacement 3% to variable 2 to 2.5%. Full project coordination with different streams, DE for Omni Station, validation of the Substitution of the contract numbers in Omni Station.

5> ACIS Batch stream and genereation of Welcome and Legal packages. Backdating of the ACIS dates for different participants to generate the Welcome and Legal Packages in the same cycle.

6> Data Share Phase I and II: Enter data for BFAT table for down stream, handling changes in the Roster Mapping project. Coordination of the Roster Mapping Batch stream with Batch service team to run the jobs during DE and enter transactions into the Omni Station. Batch monitoring (65, 67 check point) and validation of the transaction results. Coordination of the resulted transactions with down stream business for BFAT validation. Coordination for running the Data Share stream execution, generation of different reports in mainframe/Mobius and validation.

7> Captiva Upgrade: Captiva is the image capturing system. Worked in processing different forms for Captiva systems for enrollment, rollover, loan application, Disbursment and validation of the transactions in Omni station. Validation of the image processing through different Captiva modules and ensuring the image moves till the end.

8> Mt Sinai: Mount Sinai has selected TIAA-CREF as sole record-keeper (SRK) for its 403(b) and 457(b) private plans. As a prerequisite, Mount Sinai is requiring that TIAA-CREF record keep several Prudential fixed and variable annuity arrangements. Specifically this BRD references Prudential plans 4869 (403(b)) and 314869 (457(b) Private) and assumes that the frozen Prudential plan 3659 will stay with Prudential.

9> FileHub implementation: The FileHub project will re-architect the way files are received and processed at TIAA-CREF. The initial use-cases are related to the files that TIAA receives from institutions for remittance, census updates, and on-boarding of new institutions. FileHub will be used in the future for other use-cases outside of retirement as well. The intent is to create a single process for receiving a file, validating IGO/NIGO, validating business rules specific to the institution/plan configuration, and send the required data to downstream applications in the required format.The FileHub will provide end-to-end visibility of the status of file processing and transaction creation. It will also improve our ability to validate files consistently, identify errors, and work with the institutions more efficiently to remediate data issues.

10> ATRUI – for Rollover: ATRUI is a home grown application in TIAA CREF used for managing the Rollver transactions. The Application generates LOA and CI letters on different intervals and archive them in EXP AG. Worked as sole QA PoC for the application, and handled all the major enhancements and regression efforts as part of several projects.

Worked in the AGILE and Waterfall models of projects in TIAA-CREF.

3. PMF WL08 IDG Correspondence – Jan 2009 – June -2009

Role: Onsite coordinator/Lead. Location – Scranton.

Onsite coordinator and lead for the WL08 Correspondence project in team of 4 offshore, worked on the Agent Copy development of the correspondences for the Independent Distribution group for the Whole Life policies. The sales channel for the Independent group opened in recent time, Agent Copies for the correspondences were required for the Independent Agents. Correspondences included the Grace Notice, Accelerated Payment Statements, Accelerated Payment Letters and Reinstatement. Had been involved in the design, development, testing and production deployment of the project. Handled requirement gathering, client discussion, design session, coordinating the tasks with the offshore teams and managing client. The project was implemented with least number of defects and zero production fallout, and achieved high degree of client satisfaction. Not only technologically, but businesswise also the project was challenging. Fixing the design, identifying the missing requirements, managing schedule were other areas where I proved my excellence.

PMF Policy Output Reengineering – Mar 2009 – June -2009

Onsite coordinator and lead for the Policy Output Reengineering project in a team of 3 offshore, worked on the reengineering project for changing the laser printing of the policy pages to the a third party print system. It includes requirement gathering, designing, coding and Unit Testing. Offshore coordination and client management are the intrinsic part of the onsite position. The project includes scraping data from the print files transforming it to VSAM, and taking data from the other files to generate the layout for the third party print. The file layout and mapping was another challenging job to work out. The project was successfully handed over to the client after Unit

Testing, as the other phases were pending for the third party delay. Apart from my technical expertise, as an onsite coordinator I achieved efficiency on client handling, negotiation, time management and soft skills.

4. Metlife IB Vantage One, Dec 2006 – June 2008.

Role : Offshore Team Member.

Worked as key team member in a Team of 5, on an application maintenance project IB Vantage One Apps, which comprises of Life policy admin applications on CSC’s Vantage One, under MetLife Individual Business. This application house Whole Life Insurance, Variable Universal Life Insurance, ranging from ISWL , UWL , UL and under more than 200 plans. IB Vantage application is an open book system. The system had six different application based on different products. It receives daily feed, i.e. Payments, New Issuance of Policy, Death Claim, Insured’s/Owner’s Name Address Change requests from various other systems which is validated and clubbed along with other Vantage Transactions and processed through Admin Update to get reflected in the Vantage Database with the desired changes. In the downstream it generates required feeds for various other applications and reporting purposes. Vantage has got separate modules for every separate functionality for both Batch and Online. It validates all the Transactions processed through Batch Cycle, and rejects any transaction that doesn’t comply with the business logic with a desired error code, which is reported in the Error File or Table. Vantage has got both the databases VSAM and DB2 and in Life it has 6 applications which are in Core Vantage. There are several other interfaces for Reporting and Accounting Purposes.

Responsibilities Includes :

Bug fix and Enhancements on the Core Vantage components like ‘Premium Tracker’, ‘Face Increase’, ‘Face Decrease’, ‘Monthaversary Processing and Calculations’ etc. and the interfacing systems and various other maintenance activities, like bug fixing and other Customer Specific Activities in the Vantage Platform for all the six applications. It involves code changes and thorough understanding of Business and Technology and Testing. It has lot of Technical challenges.

Handling Critical Production and Product Level Defects which involves detail understanding of business process of the product, and required code changes which lead to regression testing through the Batch Cycle and Validation.

Generating reports of different kinds of business processing like Universal Life Quarterly Report, Loan Repayment Report, and MRS rider report.

Customer Specific Activities like writing Cobol Programs to access Database (VSAM/DB2) and fetch various fields based on the requirements to generate a specific report or test cases. It may require Fetching data from the database or Updating fields in the database.

Issue modeling – testing the new issues prior to introducing in production

Running Test Batch Cycles, as vantage has interfaces with several other applications, so for any change in any other applications involves batch testing, for example, if there is change in CAS(Client Acquisition System) which provides feed for the New Policy Issue, so it needs thorough testing through batch cycle, i.e. a mock cycle to process the transactions, if any of the transactions errored out with a particular error code, it has to be analyzed.

Co-ordination of offshore tasks with onsite team and client , and delivery status calls.

Production support and Abend Resolutions.

Quest Initiative - Saving of DASD space and CPU time by identifying CPU consuming jobs and Finding an alternate solution for them, with query tuning.

5. Metlife ADG-COMP Enhancement, July 2008 – Sep 2008.

Role : Offshore Team Member.Key offshore team member in a team of 4, worked on enhancement of NEF Agency Compensation System, for calculating agent commission for existing and new products. The System hierarchy can be divided in several parts starting from Pre-Attribution, Attribution and other downstream. My role involves enhancement in Pre-Attribution. Pre-Attribution takes several feeds for Traditional, GDC and systems and process these feeds to generate final LOB File which goes as the feed to Attribution.

The system is a COBOL-DB2 system. Major tasks involves enhancement of existing systems for COLI, PSI, MLI TERM products, to accommodate these new products in the system and generate the commission of these products for Agents.

Responsibilities Includes :

Understanding Business Requirements – to be involved in the business process understanding and Estimating the changes required for the implementation purpose.

Preparing Technical Specification documents for the proposed changes.

Identification and preparation of the test cases required for the Unit and integration testing.

Analysis, Coding and Testing (Unit and Integration) of the Changed codes, Validation as per the business requirements.

Deployment in production through the Change man Packages.

6. Metlife EV15 Tax Aggregation, Sep 2008 – Jan 2009.

Role : Offshore Team Lead.

Offshore team lead in the EV15 Tax Aggregation project in a team of 6 members, worked on the development of new screens for the purpose of the Tax Aggregation of the Annuity contracts on the Vantage Platform. All the In force contracts issued which was under the same SSN(same owner) in the same year needs to be aggregated under a unique Aggregation Number, for taxing. Separate tables for the Aggregation had been developed for the aggregation data, and a new view handler(module for accessing the tables), had to be developed for the online screens. 4 new screens were developed for aggregating the contracts. The screens had all the defined set of functionalities which were supported by Vantage, viz. – selection of one row in a table of data, editing any field which will generate a change transaction in turn, generating and updating the Aggregation Tables for the aggregating and de-aggregating the contracts, transforming data from one screen to the other, paging, multi page display etc. Changing 29 existing screens for the Aggregation related editing.

My roles also include preparing status report, tracking change requests, estimation, task allocation, resource management, attending client calls etc.Achieved ‘Star of the Month’ for outstanding performance.

7. Phoenix Data Law Requirement Gathering, April 2006 – Nov 2006.

It was a migration project from various other Policy Admin Systems to Vantage platform. It was mapping of other systems with the Vantage, as per the ACCORD standard. ACCORD is the world Insurance standard describing all the necessary fields for Insurance.

Role : Offshore Team Member.Worked as tem member in a Team of 6, in the consolidation of six other applications to Vantage. All the fields were mapped as per the Accord Standard in Vantage.
