You wanna know my plan ...?

I can tell you. However, It may not be useful to you because it was for me and for my needs.

    It's going to be long.

Let me tell you the background story.

I graduated from I! "amshedpur in #$%%. I was not a very good student. &y position in the

class was not very good. ut there was only thing that I had. I had very clear concepts in the

    basics of electrical engineering.

(nd I had the knack of simplifying comple) concepts. It's like you tell me a concept and I'll

put it in simple words. It helped me grasp more concepts within short time later in my life.

(fter graduating from the college in #$%%, I *oined L+!.

L+! is a nice company. ut it has some serious flaws which includes its Human esources

    department.

-ue to lackluster and cocky attitude of this company I was posted in sales department, a

department where it was very difficult for me to work. I *ust couldn't sell things.

Initially I tried to ad*ust. !his was my first *ob. I didn't want to give up very easily.

!hings turned from bad to ugly with the arrival of my new boss. I had to leave the company

abruptly one day. Itwas after almost one year in the company.!he month was ctober.

    /o here I was. o *ob. o money.

    0lueless about future.

I had applied for the 1(!2 e)amination earlier. ut I had no idea about how to proceed for it.

I tried to prepare for it at home. 0ollected as much material as I could.

(nd yeah, I forgot to tell you. I had applied for three 3/4s earlier. /(IL, 0oal India and

H(L. Had taken the written test for /(IL earlier.

It was all without any preparation at all.

    5ritten result of /(IL came and I 6ualified.

It was at least some hope in that situation. I went for the interview. It didn't go very well.

e)t was coal India. I wrote the 0oal India e)am in the ctober.

Interview in ovember. 0oal India written as well as interview both were good.

/o I was hopeful for the result. Itwas "anuary and I was eagerly waiting for the coal India

    result.

I was hopeful. (nd they started declaring results too. ranch by branch.

It was really painful to wait.

ne month passed. Yes7 !hey kept declaring the result for one month.

In the 8eb, /(IL result came. 9th 8eb was the day.

    I vividly remember.

f course I didn't 6ualify. ut my hopes were pinned on coal India.

9 long days later, 0IL result came.

:ept searching my name in the list.

    It was not there.

/ourabh (nand. owhere in the list to be found.

    I was broken from inside.

    /hattered.

!hat day I cried a lot. 0ried like a baby. I kept crying for % hour continuously.

1(!2 e)am was on %;th 8eb and I hasn't read anything for past one month.

I was *ust waiting and waiting for coal India result.

    3robably the most coveted one.

e)t thing I know was = I borrowed some money from a family friend.

3acked my bags and went straight to Hyderabad.

Hyderabad was going to change my future.

I had this feeling, the momemt I entered the city.I went straight to ace academy. "oined theirshort term batch for I2/.

be eating... 5alking. 2ven on the commode seat.

Immediately after waking up, I'd read 1/.

I'd revise history = Indian freedom struggle. I'd read polity. I'd think about the working of a

    machine..

(bout some theoretical concept. 2verytime something or the other would be going through

my mind. It was a productive pursuit.

(nyway, after one month or so 1(!2 result came. I was prepared for the blow. I got C$$$

    rank. It's :.

(ctually it strengthened my resolve much more.!here was no distraction. othing to worry

about. nly one thing to focus.Itwas I2/.

(s the day of I2/ started nearing, I started a countdown.

I clearly remember I started it from the %%Dth day. 2veryday I'd remind myself of the days

left to EimpactE. It helped me set my biological clock. It was a timer.

/oon mock tests started. It was a great opportunity for me to sharpen my strategy and test my

    level of preparation.

I'd prepare for these tests with full vigour. /ome tests were easy. /ome difficult. /ome totally

out of league. (nd some were good.ut all of them helped me one way or the other. (fter much effort seeing my name in the top

C of the test result would be a ma*or boost to my morale.

I *oined all the online tests. 3racticed there too.

    y now I knew I'd crack ies.

I wasn't sure of the rank though.

#% days to impact, I left the coaching.

!hough classes were still going on.

I focused full fledged on revision.

I revised. (nd revised again.(nd again.

I knew the e)am. It was about breadth of your knowledge of entire syllabus.

(nd It was about depth of your knowledge in some topics.

I followed both = one by one.

!hat's the end of the story.
