Lighting Fundamentals This three-day workshop focuses on the fundamentals of lighting, which includes lighting technologies such as LEDs, lamp and ballast systems, lighting terminology, fixture types, cost of light, photometry and an introduction to lighting controls. Participants will actively engage and apply skills learned throughout each session while interacting with instructors and classmates. Lighting Fundamentals is not only a course for those new to the industry, but also a refresher course for those who are looking to re-establish the basics of their lighting knowledge.CEUs: Up to 20 hours availablePrerequisites: No prior experience in lighting is required.Tuition: $600

LED Exterior Lighting Solutions LEDs have changed the way we illuminate the nighttime environment. This two-day course will cover LEDs in detail as a source for exterior applications based on their long life, extended maintenance cycle, lower energy consumption, and optical capabilities. Participants will study exterior lighting design and principles for nighttime applications including roadway, parking lots, area and site lighting and sports lighting and evaluate the operating characteristics of fixtures designed for specific exterior applications. Exterior lighting legislation such as Model Lighting Ordinance, BUG Rating, and testing methodologies (LM79, LM80 and TM21) will be covered. This course is ideal for those involved in the design/specification or the energy management of exterior spaces, and for those looking to gain a better understanding of fixtures for nighttime applications.CEUs: Up to 10 hours availablePrerequisites: Lighting Fundamentals or a firm understanding of lighting basics and terminology is required for this course.Tuition: $450

Wavelinx Commissioning Certification Eaton’s WaveLinx Wireless Connected Lighting system combines power, lighting, connectivity and software into a wireless lighting control system. This course will provide you with a quick review of connected lighting and the installation, setup, and programming of Eaton’s WaveLinx Wireless Connected Lighting system.Prerequisites: Controls Specialist course or equivalent knowledge required E-Learning modules.Tuition: $1500

DLVP Commissioning CertificationDistributed Low-Voltage Power System (DLVP) is a brilliantly simple solution – a complete system that meets the most pressing demands of the busy electrical contractor. DLVP provides low-voltage power, LED lighting, and full controls functionality out-of-the-box. In this class the students will learn about the DLVP system and fixture offerings, integrated sensors, design with DLVP, Control specification with DLVP, system configuration and basic troubleshooting. This is a hands-on workshop and is ideal for estimators, project managers, electrical contractors and electricians, facility managers, engineers and designers. Prerequisites: Controls Specialist course or equivalent knowledge required E-Learning modules.Tuition: $600

Greengate Commissioning Certification This week long course will focus on the Greengate line of lighting panels and sensors which are used to implement the desired control strategies for the customer. Participants will gain an understanding of the various systems which include; Room Controller, LiteKeeeper, ControlKeeper, ControlKeeper T and ControlKeeper M. The class begins with an overview of the various sensor offerings and how they are commissioned for use with our panels, and progresses on to setup, wiring, sensor integration and programming of each panel type using the Keeper Enterprise software package. Programming labs are used to fortify course material and to help foster teamwork amongst the group when solving simulated lighting control scenarios.Prerequisites: Controls Specialist course or equivalent knowledge required E-Learning modules.Tuition: $1200

LEDs, Connected Lighting and Retrofits for Energy Efficient Solutions This two-day, advanced seminar provides a unique opportunity to meet and learn from nationally known experts in the fields of design and lighting of healthcare facilities.
