TECHNOLOGY:
A POWERFUL R & D TEAM
The WIRQUIN Group has developed iconic products that are at the root of its success. Pioneers in the field of sanitaryware products, some products today are known internationally i.e. Jollyflex, Magicflex and Quick-Clac. Our team of technicians continue to bring increasingly efficient solutions.
EUROPEAN KNOW-HOW AND LOCALISED PRODUCTION
Total control of the product, from design to marketing on the ground:
CAD,injection moulding, blow moulding, compression thermoset moulding, assembly, packaging.
ADVANCE EQUIPMENT
Globally WIRQUIN has production equipment at the forefront of modern technology:
180 + injection presses,10 + blow-moulders,28 + compression moulders,8 + extrusion machines,5 toolrooms / mould shops.
TECHNOLOGY
THE 4 MANUFACTURING PROCESSES: The core of WIRQUIN’s business is modifying plastic, which is done in 4 types of processes:
INJECTION MOULDING
Injection is used for the manufacture of items in very large quantities. The plastic is softened and then injected into a mould and cooled to take shape.
BLOW MOULDING
Blow molding is the process of inflating a hot, hollow, thermoplastic preform or moulding inside a closed mould so its shape conforms to that of the mould cavity. A wide variety of hollow parts, including plastic bottles, can be produced from many different plastics using this process.
COMPRESSION MOULDING
Compression moulding is a method of moulding in which the material, is first placed in an open, heated mould cavity. The mould is closed with a top force, pressure is applied to force the material into contact with all mould areas, while heat and pressure are maintained until the moulding material has cured. The process employs thermosetting resins.
EXTRUSION
Extrusion is a manufacturing process used to make pipes, hoses, drinking straws, curtain tracks, rods, and fibre. The granules melt into a liquid which is forced through a die, forming a long ‘tube like’ shape. The shape of the die determines the shape of the tube.
