Dear Parents and Carers
Firstly, thank you to all the parents and staff who contributed to our summer fete last week, by providing support on the day, or helping with the preparations, and to those who came along to the event on the day. The event was a great success, and we raised £900. This money will go towards our fundraising for replacing the Key Stage 2 climbing equipment. Some photographs from the fete can be found on the back page.
The next upcoming event in our school calendar will be Sports Day on Friday 14th
July, and also the Year 6 BBQ after school on the same day. We then have the Dance Extravaganza on Thursday 20
th July, and then finally the whole school church service on Friday 21
st July which is also the last day of the
summer term, as Monday 24th
and Tuesday 25th
July are INSET days and the school will be closed to pupils on these days.
Finally, please note that this will be the final newsletter of the year as the South Bersted Bugle will be issued soon.

WATER BOTTLES
Once again, we must remind parents and carers of the
importance of ensuring children are adequately
protected from the sun during school hours:
Please apply a high factor sunscreen to your child before school
Please ensure your child has a named sunhat in school everyday
As you know, all children are encouraged to have a water bottle in
school. Recently we have had an increased amount of sickness
bugs in school. Therefore, with immediate effect your child will
bring home his/her water bottle every day; please ensure this is
washed and returned to school every morning. During the day,
children do not always remember to drink from their own bottles;
ensuring bottles are washed each day will reduced the spread of
bugs and germs in school. Thank you for your co-operation.
Replacement bottles are available to purchase from the school
office for £1.
