DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT (Expiration of present Tenure and other matters Arising) The 27th District Assembly Nominating Committee seriously reviewed the progress recorded so far during the Superintendency of Rev. B. O. Eshiet. It noted, in particular, that his tenure expires at the end of this District Assembly. Thus, in accordance with the relevant section of the MANUAL, especially Article 203.11 and 203.12, we resolved and to be possibly affirmed by the whole house that:
A. The District should begin a deliberate process of mentoring few legible ordained Elders who can assist and / or understudy the current District Superintendent.
B. We recommend further that the present District Superintendent should continue to serve in that capacity for at least another 4 years until a suitable successor is trained, prepared and qualified.
C. The final decision, however, lies with this 27th District Assembly as directed by the Chairman Rev. F. E. Udofia who
represents the General Superintendent having jurisdiction. But the Nominating Committee recommends a ‘YES’ or ‘No’ voice vote of the whole house.
Fellow Nazarenes, Thank you for your unbiased consideration.
