TOUR HIGHLIGHTS (PRELIMINARY)
SEOUL: SOUTH KOREA’S CAPITAL AND THE LARGEST METROPOLIS
Gyeonbokgung Palace: 1st royal palace built in 1395 by the Joseon Dynasty.
Namsan Seoul Tower: Seoul’s representative landmark that is a famous night-
time tourist attraction.
Naksan Park: A great place to see the Seoul City Wall and take in views of
downtown Seoul.

DAEJEON METROPOLITAN CITY: SOUTH KOREA’S FIFTH LARGEST CITY THAT
IS GEOGRAPHICALLY LOCATED AT THE HEART OF SOUTH KOREA AND A
CENTER OF TRANSPORTATION, DISTRIBUTION, AND SCIENCE & TECH.
Daejeon Art & Culture Complex: A home to local art and culture, featuring
the Daejeon Culture & Arts Center, the Daejeon Museum of Art and the Lee
Ungno Museum of Art.
EXPO Science Park: EXPO Science Park is a science park built for Daejeon
Expo '93 includes a garden, amusement park, and observation tower.
Uineungjeongi Cultural Street (Skyroad): Emerging as an art and cultural
street that used to be the Mecca of the government, business and culture.

Daejeon World Cup Stadium: One of the stadiums built for the 2002 World
Cup Korea/Japan. The stadium can accommodate up to 42,000 fans.
Hanbat Arboretum: An arboretum located in the center part of the Daejeon
Government Complex and EXPO park.
Yuseong / Yuseong Hot Spring: Yuseong is the mecca of science and
technology of South Korea, accommodating a science industry complex,
universities and cutting edge industries. Yuseong is also famous for hot springs.

Daejeon History Museum: A museum that visitors can overview history and
culture of Daejeon.
Gyejoksan Hwangtogil (trail): A unique path through Jang-dong Recreational
Forest that visitors can walk along red clay road on barefoot
Sister City Information Center: The Sister City Information Center, which
opened in October 2013, is designed to provide information about 26 sister cities
from 26 countries.

XI’AN: MONTGOMERY COUNTY’S SISTER CITY. HOME TO THE TERRACOTTA
WARRIORS AND END OF THE EASTERN SILK ROAD
Terracotta Warriors: The Terracotta Warriors are the most significant
archeological excavation of the 20th century and is a collection
of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor
of China. It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210–209 BCE
and whose purpose was to protect the emperor in his afterlife. The figures, were
discovered in 1974 by local farmers.
City Wall: Xi’an City Wall is the most complete city wall that has survived in
China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the
world

Tang Paradise: Tang Paradise is the first royal-garden-like park to
show visitors the splendid culture of Tang Dynasty, China.
SHANGHAI: CHINA’S LARGEST CITY AND GLOBAL FINANCIAL HUB
The Bund: Bund is a famed waterside walkway with city views. It is a historic,
1,500 meter-long waterside promenade showcasing distinctive modern & colonial
buildings.
Oriental Pearl Tower: The Oriental Pearl Tower is a futuristic TV tower
(468-meters tall) offering city vistas, a history museum and revolving
restaurant.

Registration and Payment Information:
1. Deposit of 50% of package cost, made payable to company listed below by July 5th, 2017.
2. Registration forms and photocopies of passports should be returned with deposit check.
3. Remainder of cost for land package must be made to the travel agent listed
below by August 15th, 2017. If a credit card is used, there will be 5% surcharge.
Next Steps:
1. Please submit a SHORT 100-word bio with photograph (in jpg or jpeg format) to [email protected] for our Korea/China Mission Book. Include contact information, full name, title/affiliation, mailing address, phone, email, and a company web address.
2. Your visa application should be submitted no later than August 15th. The application fee is $140 and you may submit it yourself. However, we recommend that you use JG Business International for a small fee of $30 per application.
3. You will receive e-mail reminders to remind you of the following due dates:
a. Deposits with registration forms and passport copies are due by July 5th b. Bio information is due July 31 c. Total trip costs are due on August 15 d. Visa application due August 15
4. We will host an orientation in mid-September. You will receive an email once the
date and location has been finalized.
