Overview

• Three days exploring coastal forest around the beach resort town of Ubatuba as well as scrubby forest near Pareque.

• Three days in and around Itatiaia National Park, Brazil’s oldest national park, providing access to a myriad of Atlantic rainforest habitats to elevations of nearly 7,000 feet.

• Three days at Guapi Assu Ecological Reserve, home to restored wetlands and forest at the base of the Serra dos Orgaos mountains, as well as drier forest and farmlands near Sumidouro, north of the mountains.

• One morning in coastal scrub and beach habitat in Praia Seca.
