Our second year in our new church home and it was wonderful! Over 125 in attendance at the
10:00 am service and 24 at the 8am service.
The church was full of children looking forward to “Sowing the Seeds of His Love.”
Miss Gina returned again for her 6th year as Church School Director and her excitement is
contagious. So many new fresh idea’s the teachers have caught her spirit and we all look forward
to a wonderful Church School year – with the seeds of His love – our children.
Once again this year we welcome a brand new teacher to 5th – 7th grades Miss Leslie Burton. She
brings fresh ideas with her and we look forward to a wonderful year.
Tan Wells and Melissa Farr are sharing the co-teaching this year with Miss Tan teaching
September – December and Miss Melissa January – June. They have decided two Sundays a month
their group will either be in church together or assisting in the Nursery.
Miss Pat will once again be teaching 2nd – 4th grades and for her 10th year Miss Betty-Jeanne has

Eat and Greet

We Welcome Our Newest Member
Eat and Greet is Epiphany’s version of Foyer Groups which were originally started after WWII in
Coventry, England in the bombed out ruins of the Coventry Cathedral. Small groups, numbering 8-10
people would gather for food, drink, friendship and communion with each other in rebuilding their
community.
Likewise, Eat and Greet groups of 8-10 parishioners gather together for a pot luck social meal where
the host/hostess provide the main course and beverages and everyone else brings the rest of the meal.
Members of the group rotate hosting the event once a month or so and are limited only by one’s
imagination. This is neither a competition nor an opportunity to air grievances. It is simply an
opportunity for us to be together, to welcome newcomers and to get to know each other better.
We are thinking of starting up the Eat and Greet after the New Year. If you are interested in learning
more about and/or being part of this ministry, please contact Bill Kohn at 702-407-5187 or at
[email protected] (that’s 4 ks).

Southern Mission District Mtg Two Diocesan Delegates, Carol Wagers, Carol Shaffer joined Betty-Jeanne Cousins at the Southern Mission District quarterly meeting at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Bullhead City , AZ on August 27th. It was announced that 60 children from the South attended Camp Galilee this summer. Melvin Stringer made his annual trip to Kenya and delivered 135 dozen pens and 125 dozen pencils donated by the parishes in the South to seven schools in Kenya. Thanks Epiphany for your donations.
It is wonderful how some of the parishes in the South wish to help Epiphany. Working together is the way to
go. We are so grateful for how other parishes and our own parishioners are looking out for this parish.
God has truly blessed this church.
Grace in the Desert has donated a small copier for use by our Church School teachers.
Kris and Bill Kohn donated a small TV for use in the classrooms when events are happening.
Howard and Bonnie Saxon donated a brand new
computer which will be used in our office.
Volunteers are needed to staff the bouncy house at the 1st Annual Family Day hosted by Family Promise. The event takes place on October 15 from 11am – 4pm, but two volunteers are need each hour (one hour shift). If interested in attending or
helping contact Betty-Jeanne Cousins.
If you are unable to attend services and would like
