Starring Don Maclean, Malcolm Stent, Lizzie Wiggins, Dave Willetts. Written by Midlands Playwright Malcolm Stent, Music & Lyrics by Harvey Andrews

‘Go And Play Up Your Own End’ was a phrase heard a lot as young boys growing up in working-class areas on opposing sides of the city, whose craftsmen built carriages of The Orient Express, aircraft, guns, tanks and fine jewellery to adorn the world’s well-to-do. In those days Birmingham and the West Midlands was known as the workshop of the world, anything of value that could be bashed out of a bit of metal was made here. How times have changed, but thankfully the pragmatic Brummie and Black Country spirit and ingenuity remains. This story about a group of neighbours fighting against the odds to re-build their lives is told with humour and song by some of the regions most loved actors.
