Special Rewards

In addition to the rewards points earned in battle, a Champion will earn special rewards simply by surviving long enough to gain experience and grow in power. One roll on the Special Rewards table is taken after the first, fifth, tenth and every subsequent tenth battle.

Aftermath

After a battle, each player should determine how many casualties return to fight another day and the winning side gets to plunder the dead.

For each non-champion casualty, roll a D6. On a result of 4+ the casualty survives and re-joins their comrades. On a 3 or less the casualty is killed and their equipment may now become part of the spoils of war.

Champions of course are made of sterner stuff and are far more likely to survive situations that would kill their lesser brethren. Roll on the following chart:

Any killed models may now be plundered by the winning side. All armour is assumed to be destroyed (it obviously wasn’t up to saving the previous wearer) but there is a good chance that the weapons might be OK. Roll a D6 for each weapon carried by the model, Melee, Small arms and Heavy weapons. On a 5+ the weapon is fine and can be salvaged. Special wargear such as Holo-suits or Refractor Fields are always salvageable unless the previous owner was killed with an instant death attack. Anything powerful enough to inflict that kind of damage will destroy these valuable artifacts.
